Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Bell was a great meeting place for Sunday lunch for friends coming from Malvern/ Bristol/ the Cotswolds. We really enjoyed the roast dinners, generous portions with lots of extra fresh veg. Then crumble and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, all seemed freshly home made...and not ‘bought in’ . Excellent cappuccinos. Our young waiter and waitress were very helpful and attentive. We sat in the conservatory with lovely views across the fields, the restaurant has atmosphere but was not too noisy or cramped. Would definitely return.More

The bell inn is well placed in-between Gloucester and Cheltenham making it an ideal location to catch a quiet meal. I took a collection of work colleagues for a large working lunch and "the bell" delivered. The staff including our waitress Ella were all professional...and helpful. As a group we will be back again in the near future. Cheers, SamMore

We visited on a weekday evening. One of our party was gluten free and there was nothing they could be provided to eat (out of stock/unavailable menu items etc). Staff need training - one asked if the gluten free was ‘intolerance or allergy’. That is...a massive warning bell. But to top it off the person with a good intolerance was invited to check in the kitchen to see if there was anything they could eat! Needless to say, we left after eating nothing and went to a nearby pub/restaurant and was served a variety of suitable food and very safely.More

We rang up at about 11am to book Sunday lunch for later that day. The person who answered the phone was very nice and squeezed us in at 2pm. We had both a roast dinner and a dessert each. There was a good choice of...vegetables and we also ordered an extra side of cauliflower cheese which was nice. The food and the service was very good and we would recommend. It was also nice to see the venue busy in January.More

Quaint little pub, with the best, quiet jazz music playing in the background! Stopped in for a quick pint, perfect pour! Super friendly bartender and crowd! Sunday Roast was happening, but I didn’t partake… probably should have because it smelled divine!

Finally got around to trying this out under the new management and wondering why this has not had more good reviews. Our experience was excellent. The menu is clearly still developing, but vegetarian choices in particular are creative and excellent with good portion sizes, so...well worth a try whether or not you are a confirmed V, and ice creams are to die for. Also run various regular events (Quiz, steak and curry nights). Will definitely be visiting again.More

Dropped in for a quick lunch with my mum and sister. Lovely staff and a very nice lunch. Good menu and some specials. Nice sized portions and lovely food. A warm plate for my dish would have been brilliant. Really glad the pub is open...again and offering good food. Good luck to youMore

Dropped in last weekend as local, considered eating but basic pub and menu. Had couple of drinks fine in garden. Noticed tonight the new menu… prices seem very high far the basic pub food on offer in the area/pub itself. More expensive than other seemingly...higher end food places around, so unlikely to eat here. Sure tenants/owners will consider as they move forwards and will adjust if needed.More

Don't Bother We visited today at lunchtime today meeting up with a close friend. We had pre booked a table online. Was looking forward to trying this venue again as the food used to be excellent under the previous ownership and the pub had been...closed for some time. The new owners seriously need to get their act together to gain the good reputation back. The Lunch menu published on Facebook a month ago had more options (but has not been updated ) so it looks like the laminated menu we were given today is here to stay with choices 'severely' limited to either jacket potatoes or Ciabatta Bread sandwiches After ordering drinks and not a fan of 'hard' bread we chose 3 jacket potatoes as the only option available to us, to be told by the waitress 5 minutes later that they only had one left ?1 Really ? it was 12.40pm ?! There would be more available in around 40minutes we were told which was not much help to us ! We agreed to have the one left and 2 of the sandwiches, but after waiting 45mins and still no sign of any food appearing, we opted to leave and go somewhere else The owner made no attempt to explain the delays, but probably out of embarassment at the poor service, did not charge us for our drinks.More

Came here this afternoon and to be honest I haven't been all that impressed. First our table had been given to someone else, our meal took over an our to arrive after ordering (despite not being seated at a peak time). Then when my son's...sausage meal arrive he exclaimed that it was cold inside the sausage. I checked and indeed it felt like it was frozen inside. It's not been like this in the past but to be honest I wouldn't come back again based on this experience.More
