Lunched here on a Saturday with friends. Staff were pleasant and efficient. The online info gives a set menu option, but this wasn't available, only the a la carte options which we felt were very overpriced for lunch ; £7 for a small portion of smoked salmon starter and a whopping £17.95 for the festive turkey main course. That said... More

I wanted to surprise my wife and this place was certainly a surprise. It was well recommended and I have to thank those who provided me with the tip. The Daffodil is a refurbished art deco cinema and very stylishly laid out. We arrived at the appointed hour and popped up the circle bar for cocktails which were served by... More

I took my wife to the Daffodil for dinner. The first thing that hits you is the beautiful Art Deco architecture of this old theatre. Wonderfully adapted to a magnificent restaurant. The Staff are attentive and polite without being overbearing and intrusive. We shared a starter between us which, with the complimentary bread, was more than enough. We both had... More

Visited here and was tempted by the drink offer and live jazz and it made a lovely memorable Monday night out. Delicious martini choices for all tastes and live jazz on stage looking down from the bar area over the restaurant was great entertainment. It's expensive but a great treat!

We stayed here on the 4th of December, we had a late booking due to how busy they were, the service was first class quick without feeling rushed. The wine and food were both excellent, we loved the atmosphere that this old cinema created!! Would love to return again if we were in the area.

New to the area and wanted something special for our wedding anniversary, looked online and saw this 1920’s renovated Cinema and it looked fab, so booked for a meal. Our coats were taken when we checked in and then shown to our table (booth), it was so plush and the atmosphere was electric. The waitress was Hannah and I do... More

The Daffodil was quaint and the service great. However, myself and my boyfriend were slightly disappointed with the food, both the quality and portion size for the money. We felt that we were paying for the atmosphere as opposed to the quality of the food.

Visiting the Daffodil is a great trip down memory lane for those of us who remember when cinemas were one off entities in attractively designed purpose built buildings. And how well this old cinema has been transformed into a superb restaurant keeping many of the period features to create a great ambience for the excellent food that is served. Don't... More

Had dinner at the Daffodil on Saturday night - stunning venue and delicious food. Loved the ambience and felt very comfortable. A 3 course meal for 2 with cocktail each and a bottle of wine came to £100 Including service charge - great value. The vegetarian selection was fab and there were at least 4dishes on the main menu to... More
