Don't be put off by the fact that this is above a Morrisons local and is very non descript when you first walk in. The welcome and service we received was excellent.
It was very early, and so we didn't have to wait for long....We chose our usual poppadum's with the pickle tray, then I had Naga chicken and my wife had garlic chicken. We shared a mushroom rice and a peshwari nan. These are our go to dishes at a new Indian, as it is the best way to compare with other restaurants.
At the Sultan, we were very impressed, portions were very generous and the spice level was excellent, I was speaking with one of the staff later who agreed with me, that the tendency is to go a little more mild until you know your customers, a great idea in my book and whereas mine could have carried a bit more spice, it was still an excellent curry.
The price for the meal was really good value, as were the the drinks. It would be almost worth visiting Cirencester just for the curry!!
The only thing I would say, is that a few paintings or something would be a nice touch, just so it is not like eating in Morrison's cafe.More
