Came here on a Thursday night while visiting my brother. Staff were very welcoming and took us to a table. We had a drinks order taken and browsed the menu. We all ordered starters of calaprese. Calamari and deep fried mozzarella which were quickly served....We all opted for homemade pizzas which were amazing not like your typical Italian chain restaurants. The two men serving us were very friendly and chatty. Will definitely visit again when in the areaMore

What a gem of a place . We were a group of 20. The food and the service was excellent. The only complaint was "I've eaten too much ".

Wow is a true gem of an authentic Italian restaurant, offering an unparalleled experience in terms of atmosphere, service, and delicious cuisine. Tucked away down an alleyway, hidden from Castle Street, this restaurant is a treasure waiting to be discovered. In my opinion, it stands...as the best Italian eatery in Cirencester, and I’m already planning to return with friends and family. The covered garden at the rear adds to its charm, providing a superb setting for outdoor dining, and the fact that it’s dog-friendly makes it even more welcoming.More

Customer Service: Exceptional! The staff at Piazza Fontana truly excel in the art of hospitality. Despite the restaurant being busy, they remained attentive and dedicated to ensuring every guest felt welcome. Our family meal was made all the more enjoyable by their friendly and efficient...service. Kudos to the hardworking team! Helaine: A Gem Among Gems And then there was Helaine. Her passion for good food and genuine care for guests made us feel like cherished friends. Helaine, you’re an absolute gem! Culinary Delights Now, let’s talk about the food. Piazza Fontana delivers on its promise of authentic Italian flavors. We savored vegetable pizza, spaghetti carbonara, and lasagna—all bursting with taste and made with love. The menu is varied, offering something for every palate. In summary, Piazza Fontana is more than a restaurant; it’s an experience. Whether you’re celebrating with loved ones or simply craving a taste of Italy, this family-run gem won’t disappoint. Grazie, Piazza Fontana, for a perfect evening! 🍕🍝🌼More

An old school Italian restaurant at the end of a kind of secret tunnel. It doesn't have street frontage, but it has a covered garden -- closed from October to April. It's got quirky decor with a bit of a shabby chic vibe which tells...you the restaurant has been here for years and isn't going away. The menu covers starters, pizza, pasta, veal, meat (beef and pork) and side dishes which include French fries (chips) as well as salads and a limited selection of vegetables. The hosts obviously know the British well! Three of us shared deep fried whitebait and a platter of cheese and salame to start, then a vegetarian pasta, a seafood pizza, a side salad and creamed spinach. Everything was excellent, freshly cooked, the pizza dough was properly seasoned, chewy and delicious. I would have liked the pasta a little more al dente, but that's me. It wasn't overcooked, just adjusted to British taste. Portion sizes were large enough that we all felt stuffed (one man and two women) and only managed a single pudding between us. Other good points: The menu carefully lists allergens. It's easy to find the meat, fish and veggie options. The pudding menu clearly divides between bought in and home made dishes. Very cheerful and friendly staff. One thing I can't review is the wine list since we were drinking by the glass. Only house white, red and pink are available that way. They were acceptable. There is also a short cocktail list. My daughter had a Limoncello Tom Collins which she enjoyed. This was my second visit. I went with my daughter last September when we sat outside and stuffed ourselves with pizza and pasta. I'll be back.More

A lovely little restaurant tucked away down an alley, cosy and informal. We met a friend for lunch, and had an enjoyable meal of pasta with a glass of wine, and lingered on chatting. Our server Elena was very attentive, and the meal enjoyable.
