Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed a fantastic Sunday afternoon meal here. The location and venue are ideal. The manager and staff were warm and welcoming, making us feel very much at home. The service was ideally paced being unhurried and accomodating. The food was exceptional, perfectly spiced and...presented with a fine attention to detail. I would strongly recommend this restaurant and look forward to our next visit.More

We were most welcomed into this pub/Indian eatery. The staff/owners were really friendly and approachable. We felt comfortable straight away in the open yet cosy dining room. Staff were attentive but also gave us space and time to consider the menu. They answered any questions...with ease and a friendly nature. Next time we’re in the area we would be sure to go back. Loved. It. We weren’t going to eat but the smell and look of other peoples food enticed us in. We were blown away by what we had. YUM.More

What a lovely and welcoming warm service. I went for a meal at lunch time on Easter Sunday, Foyez and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection, I have run a kitchen myself and the service was...prompt, and we were catered for our personal tastes. I would highly recommend and I look forward to my next visit. Thank you Foyez and the team at Asha kitchen 🙏More

I am writing to express my utter disbelief and indignation at the reprehensible conduct displayed by Foyez Rahman, the manager of the restaurant, towards my party and me. Our visit, intended to be a pleasant dining experience with our children, turned into a shocking display...of unprofessionalism and disrespect. The incident reached its nadir when Foyez Rahman, without any provocation or consent, physically tapped us and commanded, “Go home.” This unsolicited physical contact was not only shocking but also a clear violation of personal boundaries and basic respect. It is alarming and deeply troubling that he felt entitled to physically impose his authority in such a manner, further compounding the disrespect shown by his verbal dismissals. His directive to “Go home,” delivered with a physical tap, was demeaning and humiliating, particularly in the presence of young children. It conveyed a disregard for us as patrons and individuals, which is completely unacceptable in any setting, especially one that claims to prioritize customer service and hospitality. Foyez Rahman’s behaviour was a disgrace to the principles of decency and professionalism expected in the hospitality industry. His actions were not only in gross violation of customer service ethics but also demonstrated a disturbing lack of judgment and respect for personal space and consent. The fact that this incident occurred in front of children is particularly egregious. It presented a horrifying example of how not to treat others, imprinting a negative experience in their minds that could have lasting effects. This is not the kind of behavior that should be modeled to anyone, let alone impressionable young minds. This incident has severely tarnished our perception of restaurant and raised significant concerns about the culture of customer interaction and respect within your establishment. It is imperative that this matter is not taken lightly but is met with the seriousness it deserves. Foyez Rahman’s actions warrant immediate and stringent disciplinary action to signal that such behaviour will not be tolerated. I expect a full investigation into this matter and a prompt response outlining the steps you will take to address this unacceptable conduct and ensure it does not happen again. Your action (or inaction) in response to this incident will be a testament to restaurant values and its commitment to the safety, respect, and dignity of its customers.More

Where to begin… F-O-Y-E-Z! On an Easter break we decided to have a meal at Asha’s at the Crown. Upon ordering I was told to ‘hurry up’. Then repeatedly spoken to patronisingly by Foyez. When trying to finish our food my girlfriend was told to...‘hurry up’. On leaving I asked the manager serving us for his name. He shouted ‘FOYEZ’ spelling it out repeatedly. He then shouted at me and aggressively patted me on my back asking me to leave a review, trying to antagonise me. Then threaten me to ‘take it outside’ to which I responded calmly ‘you’ve gone too far’ and as mature adults we stood our ground whilst being told to ‘f*ck off’ and repeatedly threatened to ‘take it outside’ again. Abhorrent service from the manager. The other staff members were very apologetic, but this is no remedy for such behaviour. I only feel sorry that they are associated with such a condescending, self-servant, rude, antagonising and patronising person.More

We came across this lovely pub whilst on a walk and were lucky enough to grab a table for dinner that evening. Truly lovely, friendly staff and an absolutely outstanding Indian menu to match. The golgoppas and popadoms were amazing and the Pathia was the...best I’ve ever had. They even changed a meal for one of our children with no hassle at all. Couldn’t recommend visiting enough :-) thank you for a wonderful evening! Mr RossMore

Excellent food and service in a convivial atmosphere. Wide and interesting choice of South Asian dishes, several new, even to this "old curry hand"! But for the non-curry eater, plenty of alternatives... steaks, chicken, burgers, sizzlers, tacos, and so on. Very reasonably priced, around £25-£30...a head, plus wine. Will definitely revisit.... often!More

A very mediocre meal. Cold by the time we got it. Waited too long for it. Very disappointed after reading such good reviews.

We had such a lovely meal and experience here! Unsure of what to order from the menu, they talked us through everything to ensure what we chose was to our liking - which it was! Probably the best Indian starters I’ve ever had. Nice to...be able to get real ale too!More

We visited whilst on a family break to see what it was like. What we noticed was that, even for a Wednesday, there were lots of “bums on seats”, which is a good indication whether it’s good or not! We decided to try a takeaway...the next night and we were so glad we did. The food was delicious, the portions were just right and it was very good value for money. If you’re in the area you must give it a visit. You won’t be disappointed!! Richard and CarolineMore
