Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited a few times now over the last few years and every visit (including this one) have been fantastic. There was a little wait for the food but that was fine as it was all cooked fresh and too a really high standard. The staff...are always very friendly and attentive. Until the next time.More

Found this place on Trip Advisor as needed a place for brunch/lunch on our stop-off in Cirencester on the way to a wedding in The Cotswolds. Sat inside in the shade but by the (wide open) patio doors on a very hot September day. Lovely...Jess took our order very quickly and the lunch was superb! Mum had spring vegetable soup, packed with vegetables, husband had leek and mushroom quiche which was superb, I stuck to an Egg and Cress sandwich with lovely salad and homemade coleslaw - perfect. Coffee was delicious. Perfect location just off the lovely high street with enough passers-by to be interesting without feeling crowded. Jess was the perfect waitress, smiley, friendly and efficient. Would definitely return - the omelettes looked epic too!More

Delicious and healthy freshly made food! Generous serves and reasonably priced.. Quiche and salad recommended. Friendly and efficient staff. Stayed in Cirencester for 4 days and had breakfast or brunch here every day. Recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different to the usual...cafe or pub fare.More

Service here was very slow. We went in specifically because of one soup of the day option sounded very good. There were quite a few members of staff and I didn't consider the café to be packed with customers. Several times a middle aged lady...told us someone would take our order shortly, I don't know why she couldn't have taken it while she was at our table? When our order was finally taken, the waitress return about 5 minutes later to tell us that soup wasn't available. Given the amount of time we had already waited we decided to stay and make other selections, this was a mistake. The portion size was really quite small, the food wasn't special, and given the time we had waited we were really quite disappointed. We would not visit again.More

We called in around 11.40am today for a coffee and snack (maybe a cake or sandwich etc). A waitress came to the table and advised that no food orders were being taken until “the kitchen had sorted themselves out”. We didn’t get as far as...to ask if that included cakes, scones etc as she walked away from us. We duly got from our table and walk out! If a cafe can’t get its act together in the kitchen then they don’t deserve to be in business!More

Hi Jeremy. Sorry about this. As you will have seen we were completely full inside and outside yesterday. Between 11.30 and noon the kitchen clears down the breakfast cooking equipment and prepares for lunches. We are operating out of a tiny kitchen, so we have...More

We have been regularly coming to this cafe for several years but this time was disappointing. The sandwiches were sloppy and the service just wasn’t the same. It’s a shame as we loved the uniqueness and charm but something is now lacking.More

We went to this cafe 3 years ago and the service was first class , what has happened? Whilst visiting Cirencester we decided to go back, changed days, service was deplorable! We waited over an hour after being told we had roughly a ten minute...wait. Waiter happened to forgot about us and after one hour and people being served despite coming in after us we collected the drinks bill and left. Bad experience compared to the last time and would not go back !More

Always liked going here but gave up as I found the previous owner a little rude. Nice to be back again. The portion size is excellent and the ingredients are great. Good to sit outside in nice weather. Impressive toast offering and lovely waitresses.

Cute cafe with outdoor seating. The carrot cake was the best I’ve had, but the tiffin was very average.

We went in for a drink and ended up with a cream tea. A choice of homemade scones, jam and cream, with tea or coffee. Great value for money at £13.90. You can sit inside or in the courtyard.
