Great coffee, friendly staff, there's always papers and magazines to read! The only bad thing is it can sometimes be mega busy but it's only so busy because it so good! :-) Go!!!!

Love their coffee. Like the surroundings, better then the 'other' chains. Could do with more staff especially for clearing tables :(

Greta independent cafe and do great teas and coffees. My mum had their de-caff skinny latte and she says they are better than Costa! . My dad and I just had earl grey tea which was nice. Sadly the cakes and other snacks didn't tempt us but the staff are lovely

One of the reasons this place is so popular is that the atmosphere is exceptionally friendly. Mothers meet and chat in groups and are very welcome. The coffee is really nice, cakes and a variety of sandwiches are available too. All the tables and chairs are different. Old leather dining chairs, some chairs painted in bright colours, settees and comfortable... More

I find that Coffee #1 has suffered since it was acquired by a (small) corporate a couple of years ago. It used to be my favourite 'independent' cafe but it has become a bit weary and has taken on the feel of a profit centre rather than a rather lovely, hip hangout. That said, the coffee remains very fine and... More

Great choice, excellent coffee, lots of funky juices and really lovely friendly staff. Great atmosphere but they need a dehumidifier to clear the condensation. Highly recommended.

We called in here for lunch on our travels through the Cotswolds. Cirencester is a lovely town with quaint streets and this wonderful coffee shop. The different varieties of teas and coffees are fascinating. The sandwiches and cakes are scrumptious. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable about all their products. Plenty of quirky seating from squishy sofas to old chapel... More

Good coffee and always busy. Noisy, always loads of dirty tables, dirty loos and often broken door handles. Good later on when not so busy.

Lovely choice of coffees and fresh juice is fab. Also a good choice of delicious looking cakes, which I managed to resist.

Description
Award-winning coffee, cakes and pastries for breakfast, lunch and tea. Comfy sofa's, beautiful interiors and cosy corners that you can hide away in for a quiet half an hour are as important to us as the cake we serve and the service we give. Come and see for yourself.
