Bistro style food, owners keen to make sure guests are pleased with their food. For us lacked a little flair and atmosphere, that said it was out of season

Stayed at the guest house so are at the bistro. Good honest food nothing pretentious and reasonably priced. The toffee roulade was to die for.

Beautifully home-cooked food, using very fresh ingredients, with generous portions. Very friendly staff. Reasonably priced. What more do you want?

Lovely intimate Bistro, only downside was that there was a limited vegetarian selection. The specials board also was the same for several nights. The food was well cooked and fresh and very tasty. Good selection of wine

We were stopping at Cardynham House for the weekend and booked into the Bistro on the 1st night there. Although it was a late booking and we were given the time of 7.45 for our table we didn't actually eat the starter until 8.45 and the main until after 9.30. The food was absolutely lovely and well cooked but we... More

To be honest reading these reviews i was shocked at the standard of food I was given. I had the scallops and prawn starter which was cheap queen scallops over cooked until you could rub out pencil from paper with them, the whole lot was overpowered with a sickly sauce, not ideal with mild scallops. The main meal was three... More

Having journeyed in vain to visit the Arts and Crafts Museum in Gloucester Street which was closed, we came across this bistro whilst walking around the village. At first sight, it looks like a typical Cotswold tea room, with linen table cloths and napkins, but it serves a good selection of cooked meals. The Sunday menu had light snacks and... More

The food here was excellent – 10 out of 10. The service was very... Italian. That said, this was the most expensive meal we ate on the Cotswold Way and it cost about fifty pounds for two relatively small dinners and one glass of wine.

Thank Legare
