Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Found this cafe on Tripadvisor. Very quirky and friendly environment. Very busy on the day we visited. Dog friendly. Lovely Saganaki and Greek salad - very impressed. Felt the quality of the burger meat in the burger was extremely poor (cheap) and didn’t reflect the...other meals and what I would expect given the environment and ambience. I’d struggle to recommend anyone to choose that dish. Overall if you choose the right item it’s a great spot for lunch.More

Very friendly cafe, with lovely staff who made us feel welcome. I had a very delicious burger, my friend had a chicken dish which was also very good. Coffee was really hot which is always a bonus to me. Friendly chef who asked if everything...good with our food. Would definitely recommend for a nice lunch out.More

Visited with a friend for lunch. I had feta cheese filo parcel with Greek salad which was delicious. They had Thai fishcakes, I’m told it was a tasty as it looked. Lovely staff, great cafe. Can’t wait to come back again to try the fishcakes!

We visited today , the decor was good and the menu looked interesting although we did think it looked overpriced. It took at least 15 minutes for anyone to come over to take our order and then a further 25 minutes before we received it....My daughters coffee was Luke warm but we were not prepared to get it replaced because we didn’t want to have to wait another protracted period of time. The breakfast baps were mediocre, at £11.50 each we felt they should be better. We ordered water but that was never brought to our table. Also it was not like you ever saw a waitress to ask. The bill was a joke as a service charge was cleverly added to the bill! All in all a very expensive breakfast which was not value for money. I definitely would not recommend this place .More

Expensive yes, but it’s tetbury and expected. I had the veggie option sourdough with avocado, really nice but small portion/slice of bread. Friend had the full breakfast, are the sausages boiled or raw? We weren’t sure, no colour to them at all! Seems odd, at...least brown them off so they look appealing? He didn’t eat them. Expensive and mediocre food, disappointing really.More

Fabulous smiling welcoming staff. Light happy ambience -Delicious healthy food Blue cheese & Fig salad-Chai Latte & Ummm-ok I admit I couldn’t resist a sneaky Raspberry squidgy browny! Guilty! Well I had to confess because I needed a 100 words-so totally found out! A lot...I know!-just a place as good as this is a rare find & iD barely eaten for a week whist looking after a baby and toddler! No excuse needed-so many delicious cakes Salads-soups-indulge & enjoy!More

Struggled to find anywhere for breakfast in Tetbury. Ended up at Cafe 53. The place itself is quite nice in terms of decor etc. Staff dismissive and not welcoming, however we found this to be the general tone of the area to be honest. We...felt like an inconvenience even though the place was only 15% full. Staff took 15 mins to take our drinks order then another 10 mins for drinks to arrive. Surprising given drinks were from a carton. Menu was limited and very expensive (a slice of sourdough with vegetarian toppings circa £14) but tasted ok. Small glass of Tropicana smooth orange juice £3 (!) Ambushed at the till for £4 worth of ‘service’ charge which had been automatically added to our bill…for what we’re not sure. All in all, £40 for a barely average breakfast. Bitterly disappointed, avoid!More

Popped here for a breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Quite pricey for a full breakfast but the quality of the food made up for it. So tasty and the staff were friendly.

Great outside tables on a hot day. Great service and food. Lamb burgers and tea and cakes went down well with all of our party. The printed bill is not so great. A ‘surcharge’ is listed with no explanation and a contradictory note printed along...the bottom that ‘no service charge has been added to your bill’. On enquiring we found that the ‘surcharge’ is actually a 10% service charge. Not good! It’s a lovely cafe and I hope their billing is rectified before we return next time!More

Very expensive - charged £8.95 for a coffee and a slice of lemon drizzle. That's £4 for the coffee (all the same size which wasn't huge) and £4.95 for the cake! There were no options for just a "light bite" other than cake. The full...menu meals are expensive for what was on there.More

Was staying locally, but didn’t want a traditional hotel breakfast in a stuffy dining room. The fruit salad, with granola and yogurt hit just the spot! Lovely selection of fruit including melon, blueberries, pineapple and raspberries. As an avid tea drinker, I must admit the...tea isn’t great - would probably try the coffee next time. Very pleasant and efficient service..More
