Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Service it’s fantastic. Staff were attentive and polite. Food service was quick. Partner had a large full English and I had a sausage sandwich. The full English was enjoyed and eaten. Unfortunately I did not enjoy my sandwich. Was disappointed to receive 2 bog standard catering sausages on thick store enough bread. Would have expected a better quality sausage and maybe hand cut bread when charging £4.50. I did not eat it all as really did not like the taste or texture. My partner had the same on his full English which he did not mind. Just my preference.

We stopped here for lunch as we decided to stop off on route to the Cotswolds Water Park. We just went in adhoc and they found us a table as quickly as they could. They do not have that many because of social distancing. The service was quick, efficient and staff were friendly and helpful. We had 3 paninis and a jacket potatoes. Everyone loved the paninis and although my jacket potato was tasty with the filling it had been overcooked. The Waitress did apologise for this saying they did not know why they were so tough. It was clear that they had been microwaved and then crisped in an oven for to long. This did not spoil the meal though. I would suggest they don't serve overcooked ones as it means people like me who like the skin fo not get their whole meal. That aside we would definitely go back.

We had lunch here-I had the "salad bowl of the day" which came with feta cheese and beetroot on this occasion; and my other half had home made quiche with vegetables. All served with a smile by a young waitress. The menu was varied with daily specials also available and chalked up on the blackboard. The cafe has an alcohol licence, which lends it a vaguely continental air. Plenty of seating, clean toilets and pleasant young staff. Recommend it!

It took over 20 minutes to get our coffees (two americanos) even though the cafe was virtually empty. When it finally arrived, one of the americanos had bizarrely been whipped into a six inch cup of foam with only a splash of liquid left at the bottom. We thought the waitress had brought the wrong drink. When we said it was wrong she answered “I don’t know, I’m not on the drinks” and just walked away. We decided to leave without ordering food and then she couldn’t work the card machine - kept typing in the wrong amount and having to start the transaction over. Just generally hapless and poor service.

A group of us stopped in here to grab some lunch. When we ordered food we asked if it would be possible to accommodate having a slightly different sandwich and were told no. When our food came one of the meals was missing, meaning a member of our party wasn’t able to eat with the group. When this meal eventually came (after we had all finished) it came with salad instead of crisps. When the waitress gave us the meal she said she’d told the kitchen it’s meant to be crisps so isn’t sure why it’s salad, then just walked off and left us with the meal without changing them for crisps.
It wasn’t until we paid that we got an apology for the meal being forgotten.
The actual food was fine, however the service was not good.

We popped in between 11 and 11.30am on a weekday for brunch. Tempted by the full English, we went for the lighter choice of eggs on toast. The kids lunch menu was available, so our daughter picked a jacket potato. She was chuffed with the kids hot chocolate, and the food was all really tasty. Staff were friendly, and the cakes on offer looked delicious. Very nice little local cafe, with very reasonable prices.

One of the employees made a point to come out of the kitchen and scold my wife for asking (just asking politely, did not demand) for an egg and bacon sandwich 20 minutes after breakfast was over. Wife is a new mom and hasn’t slept in days- she cried on the way home. It was the first meal out in a long time. A little kindness goes a long way sometimes, but this employee chose to humiliate and be hurtful instead of compassionate and kind, and it really affected us and our experience. Was a real shame.

While staying in Tetbury we went here because of the gluten free options. We were welcomed at the door and asked if we'd like to sit inches garden, we did. It was a very pleasant area to sit.
We had been handed a menu on the way in,once seated we were promptly asked for our order, we had a few questions regarding the sandwiches so were happy to wait a few minutes while another order was taken. The sandwiches were nicely presented, we enjoyed them.

The unprofessional waitress swore as she put the drinks on the table, in front of my young children. She didn't get the order right despite coming back to check as she couldn't understand her own writing. Which put us all off our experience. The food was reasonable for the price, lovely fresh bread, fresh salad garnish (although the orange slice looks nice it doesn't compliment the rest of the plate)

We were given a lovely, warm welcome and sat down to huge slices of delicious cake and great tea and coffee.
Everything was done properly including the use of cake forks and hot water to top up the teapot.
One look at the specials board and we knew we’d be back for lunch very soon!!

Four of us called in for lunch yesterday, we hadn't booked and received a warm welcome. The waitress was kind, warm and patient. The food (halloumi salad ) was absolutely delicious. The salad was fresh and had grapes and olives, a real treat !
The premises provided a lovely break from the very wet day outside, it was warm inside and the toilets were clean.
As we were having a cream tea at Chavenage House we decided not to have a piece of cake, but the cakes looked really nice and there was a great choice.
Thoroughly recommended.

Look I'd probably give them 3 stars for the lukewarm scones but the old ladies running the show couldn't give two hoots about the customers. Sat down at table for 5 minutes, no service...just hear the two old loves whinging in the kitchen. Go to ask for service, told to sit-down as its table service..... OK then.
Next see the old girls looking flustered dealing with a grand total of 4 customers, another 4 walk in and the grouchy looking one huffs and puffs as they've interrupted her own lunch! Geez I'd hate to actually see how they cope with a busy day.
Then old love manages to offend these new customers by yelling at them and they walk out... Good choice. Wish we'd done the same!
Plates taken away in silence despite me talking to her, no hello, no smile, no asking how was your food. I think these two need to get out of this industry ASAP.

In a town full of antique shops and posh restaurants, it was nice to find an unpretentious homely, friendly and welcoming cafe. The menu is small and basic - jacket potatoes, panini and sandwiches with various fillings, but all the better for it. Simple food done well.

We popped in for a light snack; coffees, a toasted teacake and vegetable soup.
Everything was hot, delicious, good value and served with a smail in this simple hight street café.
Child-friendly, with a highchair and somd childrens' toys, plus an easy ramp down to rear seating area, with level access from the street. Very nice.

Visited here for coffee whilst passing, the interior is not great in terms of decoration but the service was good and the home made cakes are lovely.
Coffee not bad would recommend the Victoria Sponge and gluten free lemon slices .
Nice location in Tetbury
