Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

6 of us visited the Trouble House on Easter Sunday to meet up from different directions. Plenty of parking and easy booking process for a table of 6. We all had the roast dinners - chicken, pork, beef and a nut roast. All were delicious...and really good portions - the meats were really tasty and the vegetables were great. But the Yorkshire puds were exceptional. I would recommend the Trouble House to anyone for the food and service and it’s great for us as it is conveniently placed for meeting people from all over the South West.More

Celebrating our wedding anniversary, we had an outstanding meal - the best pub food I have eaten, well presented and served by smiling and friendly staff. The bill was very reasonable and the whole evening was a pleasure. A memorably good experience.

Having driven by recently and noticed how busy it was I decided to take my Dad and husband here and what a great decision it was. My Dad is normally a steak man but I asked him to try something new and ordered him the...beef bourguignon which he said was outstanding. My decision to go with salmon was a great call….absolutely stunning and my husband said his burger was one of the best he’s ever had. As a treat we had puddings and they didn’t disappoint either, sticky toffee pudding and lemon posset’s were devoured with smiles all round. Being diners, who like visiting Michelin restaurants, my husband and I can say this is the closest a pub has ever got to the flavours without the hefty price tag. Jacqui and team….see you soon 🫶🏼More

Myself and my Mum stayed at Trouble House for a family wedding earlier this month. The owners were so accommodating, even giving us a lift to the wedding venue! The room was excellent with comfortable beds and a really great shower. We had breakfast in...the morning which was delicious and HUGE - probably the best breakfast I've had at a B&B. Would highly recommend. Thank you!More

Trouble House, cafe and restaurant. It looks n feels like a pub more than a restaurant. It is out of nowhere so a little bit difficult to find. My husband both had roast beef with all the trimmings, we were not disappointed. Beef slices were...thin but we did get a good few slices. All in all a good filling meal.More

Had a lovely lunch today with my daughter, terrific service from Marianne, was very welcoming and went the extra mile. The owner came and chatted with us (sorry don’t know her name) which was lovely. The food was amazing, I had the belly pork followed...by the panacotta with boozy cherries, my daughter had fish pie followed by the sticky toffee pudding. Faultless.More

A charming country Inn with excellent food at fair prices. Superb service by Jackie and her team. We had a long business meeting startwith coffee and excellent home meeting cakes at 10 am. Followed by lunch. A wide range of food on the menu. All...enjoyed both starters and mains. No room for the tempting deserts! A truly enjoyable experience.More
