This is a fantastic manor house and we had a lovely stay in the country. Service was very good, we had a short stay and instantly regretted it! Next time we will stay longer.

We booked a meal for a special occasion and were staying at the hotel. Both of us came away feeling delighted at the attention and food that was served. The canapés were fantastic, most notably the duck pate cigar. Each course was served beautifully and timed to perfection. Another highlight was the rabbit main course. Would also recommend the cheese... More

The batch of poor reviews is boggling my mind as this is the second time we've been and I can't say that service is poor or the food quality dropping. We had a lovely dinner from the tasting menu and everything was top notch quality. Wine selection is outstanding and about the sort of level in price that you expect... More

I have to agree with all the other recently posted reviews - food to expected standard, service far from. Apart from the lovely lady who met us on our arrival I don't recall seeing a smile from another member of staff. Service at our table for both dinner and breakfast was in some ways shambolic with no visible direction from... More

I emailed LOTM as I was considering wedding venues. I decided to book for Afternoon Tea for our anniversary and requested that I could have a look around. On arrival a lovely young man on reception greeted us and informed us where we could seat. I thought they may have offered to take out coats for us. We were promptly... More

Until recently I have rated LoM as the best place to eat in the Cotswolds, but no longer. The first indication that major changes had taken place was when we were handed the menu. Instead of the normal a la carte there was a choice of just two set menus, and we were brusquely informed that all 7 of us... More

I said most of it in the hotel review - but in short - they need to get better staff (one member telling us the level of his pay, and saying he will leave in 6m - isn't exactly professional!)

There is a choice of two dinner menus: one at 5 courses, one at 7 courses. There is no al la carte, which I find disappointing. That said, the chef was more than willing to accommodate the limited diet of one of our party by substituting suitable dishes. We sampled both menus. Each is memorable and, unsurprisingly, in a pay... More

I had really high expectations for my meal here given the Michelin rating and beautiful location. Unfortunately my abiding memory of lunch was a silent, whispered atmosphere in every room we entered including the dining room and a rather surly chap servicing the drinks reception. On the positive side the starter and duck main course were good but an enjoyable... More
