Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food was great, service was quick and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Good Gambas Pil Pil and Padron Peppers. Will definitely go again. We turned up early but were seated without any fuss. It was busy so it may pay to book.

Really enjoyed it here. Comfortable seating in a booth. Service was friendly from everyone. Food was lovely. My favourites were the deep fried aubergine topped with honey, pork ribs and pork belly bites. The white wine and cream sauce served with the mussels was amazing,...I was dipping everything in it, it was just so tasty!!! Unfortunately they had ran out Belvedere vodka and only has Smirnoff available.More

Ordered drinks and food, only to be told that one of group was too loud. No warning, just refused drinks. Slightly bizarre as we were a group of two 65 year olds, an eight year old and three 40 year olds. Even before this, service...was dreadful. Just a shame the staff didn’t speak with us beforehand. Oh well, cancelled our order and clearly won’t be coming back again.More

Set in Port Solent Marina boardwalk this Spanish restaurant offer the usual array of tapas, paellas and spanish foods. They do not specify which part of Mediterranean Spain the dishes are from. The dishes were well presented and served by a young waiter who less...than knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks but pleasant and polite.More

Went sat 11th November. Lovely decor. Restaurant was buzzing. Delicious food and great cocktails. Been several times and will go again. Authentic tapas with good flavours and decent portions and prices. Only reason didn’t give five stars is we had to keep calling staff over...for more drinks no one came back to table after food was delivered. Otherwise a lovely eveningMore

Three of us visited this lovely restaurant for the first time on a Saturday lunchtime and opted for an authentic Spanish Tapas meal. So, we ordered nine tapas dishes, a jug of sangria and a bottle of sparkling water and settled down to a great...lunch. All of the tapas dishes were tasty and of a good portion size and were selected from a very wide range of options, making it possible for each of us to choose our favourites. The staff were friendly and appropriately attentive, but not overbearing. The restaurant was very clean and attractive. The overall price was fair, and we will definitely be coming back!More

There were 2 large groups when we arrived, and we were very surprised at how quickly the food came as usually the food is delayed in these situations. Unfortunately, this seems to have come at a cost as 24 hours after our visit my husband...started having violent diarrhoea and this continues as I write. This is a man who has a stomach of steel. He had calamari and king prawns which I did not, so I'm assuming this is the reason I'm okay. 🤔 I'd avoid at all costs to be honest.More

We’ve eaten in quite a few Tapas restaurants recently, I’ve got to be honest this one was particularly uncomfortable to be dining in, Definitely didn’t reflect in the price of what they were charging for a Paella. The decor was very dated (like I’d gone...back to the 80’s) and the lighting was glaring and bright, But the food was ok and the staff were polite. Unfortunately we wouldn’t come back unless they had a major refurb and perhaps moved the cleaning trolley out of the way of the loo entrance.More

The food took an hour to come out. We got the wrong food initially. One waiter was on him phone for a whole hour. However, the food was good when it came and the portions were huge

Went for a birthday meal greeting at door was lovely after that all down hill. Waited a long time for drinks they finally arrived with the starters , nobody cleared the table so nowhere to put main meal which was plonked on table and I...burnt my hand on the paella dish. Paella was a dark colour and rice was hard, fajitas weren’t cooked properly could still taste the powder on them and one of us was ill all night and still ill today and to top it off we were charged £15.30 service charge and the girl was waiting at the table for a tip and asked if we wanted the chocolate that she had just given usMore

Enjoyed the meal and service was okay but a bit surprised to be confronted with a request for a tip (starting at £7.50) even though there was already a service charge on the bill.

We'd previously enjoyed visits to Casa Flamenca but our most recent one was disappointing. The vegetable paella was a peculiar red/brown colour, rather than saffron yellow. Service was a bit chaotic but generally friendly.

Firstly, I’m not that person who always leave negative comments and feedback. In fact, I’m a glass half full person and try to find some positive things before I write something. Today we were IGNORED completely!!! Yes, a nice girl met us at the door...and sat us at the table. And that is that. We were left along for 20 minutes! No one came to us asking if we are fancy a drink or some water! Nothing! No eye contact, no attention like we were invisible. There were four waiters and only 4 tables included us so they weren’t super duper busy to completely ignore us like we were invisible. I loved this restaurant and never had any issues until today. So, obviously we left disappointed by the service or should I say lack of it.More

We love Andalucia tapas and went to Casa Flamenco for lunch as many dishes on the menu read very well. We ordered 6 tapas between us both and all were very disappointing. Bacalao pil pil was lacking taste so we ate little, and the prawn...pil pil was cooked in oil but little or no garlic …. surely a key ingredient. Chicken wings were luke warm and tasted like old meat. The paella rice tasted good but was luke warm and had been reheated or served from a day long pan. I watched many dishes being carried out to other tables and noticed that almost all of them looked brown in colour and were poorly presented on the plate. Good food needs to look good and having returned from our 3rd trip this year to Spain clearly this restaurant does not adequately replicate a typical Andalusian tapas restaurant. Wine and drinks were good and service was pleasant and helpful. I feel sad to submit this rather negative report but hope that management will take note and improve as Portsmouth needs more restaurants of this style.More
