I love this cafe, the perfect stop off when walking the dogs. Great coffee, fab cakes, staff are always lovely.
Visited Pure Ground today with 3 friends. We all wanted a coffee and a slice of cake each. A lady took my order, then stepped aside and another lady asked what the order was and then made the coffee. She then gave the coffee to...the first lady to give to me. Then the 2nd lady asked what cake I wanted and told the 1st lady to get it which she did and then gave the cake back to the 1st lady who then gave it to me. The 1st lady then asked me how I wanted to pay and went to the till, entered the amount in the till and then gave me the card reader, all this while the other lady just stood by watching. This all took 10 minutes. Meanwhile my 2 friends were just waiting in the queue. After I was served this whole process was repeated for my 2 friends individually. Took us over 1/2 hour for 3 of us to be served 3 coffees and cake! The gent is front of me waited for 10 minutes just for 1 of the ladies to make a chocolate milkshake. This is such a shame as the café is lovely and the ladies are really nice. They just are not organised at all. While 1 lady is making the coffees another lady could be taking orders and processing payment. Please please organise yourselves as it is a lovely food.More
Set within the Community Centre at edge of popular park, this is a convenient cafe for meeting up with friends, e.g. after a class in the Centre. Tables indoors and in small garden, shaded by parasols if required. Excellent coffee and selection of home-baking. Cheerful...staff make us feel welcome.More
Pure Ground has had a makeover - now even better with an updated selection of light lunches and delicious cakes and calming decor. The staff are very friendly and helpful and prices are reasonable. I often pop in for a coffee whilst passing and enjoy...sitting in the pretty garden, a tranquil spot on a sunny day.More
Visited early Saturday morning before the football match. Nice coffee, pleasant staff and played great music. Plenty of outside space also. Would defo recommend.
I’ve been a customer for over four years and every visit has been excellent. Good coffee, excellent value, tasty homemade cakes, tunes I’ve not heard in years, and the staff have a great sense of humour.
I have passed this place several times and not stopped before, this time I fancied a coffee and popped in to check they do takeaway. Ordered an espresso and chatted to the lady behind the counter, she was very friendly and even apologised for the...fact she couldnt heat the takeaway paper cup. The coffee was spot on with a great taste and aroma. If I have the time I will go back again and this time sit in, they had a selection of great looking snacks that I would like to try.More
Popped in here last week and received a warm welcome and great coffee & cake. Cake was homemade and very good. They sell local Northney icecream
I ordered breakfast. The sausages looked aneamic so I suggested that they weren't cooked properly. The rude cook / server took the breakfast and tested the temperature. He said they were ok but blamed the quality of the sausages for how they looked. Overall the...service was poor and sour faced.More
Visited for the first time today with my 2 yr old grandson. The cafe was very busy but everyone was served promptly and efficiently. The coffee was first rate and would give some specialist coffee shops a run for its money. Sandwiches were freshly made...and genourously filled. We sat in the garden along with other families with babies and young children and it was a joy to sit out in the sun with good food and drink. My grandson certainly enjoyed himself. Toilet facilities were easily accessable and all the staff in the cafe and community centre were friendly and helpful. It's worth a trip to Milton Park just to visit this cafe. Go whilst the sun is shining although it's nice inside as well.More
Visited this café this afternoon to have a coffee and buy an ice lolly for my sons. As we had our bikes I waited outside the café, just inside the park. I told my sons to go ahead as one was desperate to use the...toilet. I was absolutely appalled when they came out saying that a member of staff had said to them, "Oi, get out we're closed!" When I asked them exactly what happened another member of staff overheard our conversation. She went on to explain that they had been told by Milton Village Hall not to let anyone use the toilet after 4.30. When I stated that there was no other toilet nearby she reluctantly said that they could go round to the other door that led to the toilet. However when they did this another member of staff closed the door on them and refused to let them in!!! Absolutely disgusting behaviour towards them. My sons are 10 and 7 I know you were closing up but another couple of minutes wouldn't have hurt. And there was no need to speak to them so rudely. FUMING!!!More
Popped in to meet a friend. We received a friendly welcome. Good choice of sizes and types of coffee. Ordered a sausage bap which was tasty and very quickly served.
Used this going to footy, it's an oasis in an area with few eateries. Good choice - English breakfast, large or small, baked potatoes, omelettes, quiche, salads, toasties, breakfast rolls, sandwiches, all at reasonable prices and tasting good. Friendly atmosphere and part of a community...centre, there was a children's activity class going on next door. Outside tables as well, in a park setting.More
Great little place! I'm most definitely a regular for their delicious full English breakfast! Great garden and dogs are welcome! Staff are very friendly and there is a great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone!
