Had a lovely meal here with family. All curries tasty and large portions. Only slight feedback would be a bit slow to clear after starter and a bit warm. Friendly staff. Complimentary Baileys always a welcome treat. Spacious venue, clean bathrooms and nicely decorated. Would...definitely go again.More
After being told our food would be 20mins & my husband waiting just under an hour 4 our food. He returned home 2 find a pilau rice was missing. So we called them back up, man was really unhelpful & his English seemed 2 get...worse when we insisted someone brought the rice round as we are 2 roads away & it’s their mistake, tried 2 give us popadoms instead that was another hour ago & hey wot a surprise still no rice. Curry has gone cold & kids are hungry.
Will never ever order anything from here again. The woman who runs the place is the rudest cow & has no idea of customer service. Absolute dumpMore
I’ve been a loyal customer of Spice Village for many, many years and love their fantastic food. Unfortunately since the Emsworth branch has closed and they have pooled to Drayton the take-away service has taken a steep nose dive. Disorganised, 4 hours late and the...same clueless response each time I phone to chase makes me wonder for the future of th chain. Management need to get their staff organised, and deliver the customer service that their excellent food warrants.More
We ordered online for delivery at 7pm. By 7.30pm there was no food so we phoned only to be told that it would be with us in 15 or so minutes. No contact from Spice Village to advise of delay or apologise. Eventually the food...turned up, lukewarm, at 8.15. We wont use them againMore
Ordered online and said it would be 50mins (which is fair enough for a Saturday night) turned up after 50mins to find over 20 people (not even allowed that many at a funeral at the moment) waiting inside trying to find space to be 2m...apart. The staff were very rude - didn’t apologise to anyone for the wait or try to do anything about the volume of people inside. Were not very friendly, just handed the card machine over and didn’t say much else or explain that I would then have to wait like everyone else for nearly an hour. Some had been there for well over an hour. They were still taking orders on the phone even with the massive backlog! Awful customer service and will definitely not be going there again!More
This has to be the best India restaurant we have been to. We visited the restaurant tonight and once again the service was excellent, the food was excellent and tasty, the restaurant is 100% clean and fresh to a high standard. I have read some...reviews where people have moaned about waiting for food, but to that I would say good food is worth waiting for, so please visit this restaurant and sit back and enjoy. My husband loved his food and he is a Food standards meat inspector so believe me if it wasn't good he wouldn't go back but we have been there a few times and we both give the highest score we can , Thankyou to you all at the Spice Village 😊More
I visited twice in the same week while staying nearby for work - that’s a recommendation. The food was great, prompt, and the service was fine. Nice napkins and cutlery and so on - felt upmarket. The coconut rice was delicious and went well with...the chicken tikka spicy dish I ordered. Beer was fine but the first bottle was not very cold so I gently told them and then the second was from the freezer and perfect.
Lots of reviews here are from 1-review people - always suspicious, whether for or against a place - I ignore them and read the ones from those of us with lots of reviews in lots of places. Seems a cut-throat Indian food market here with three restaurants within 100m of each other. I hope they all prosper but none looked that busy unfortunately, during the August post lockdown period, despite the Eat Out scheme.More
