We are locals from the other bank of the river and greatly appreciate the ambience of this historic old pub, the views of the river over Bursledon Pool and the history associated with the Elephant Boatyard next door to the pub where the TV series...More

Fond memories of many visits often arriving by dinghy were dashed on monday 18 february 2019. The staff now are ill-mannered, lazy and inattentive. The food took 50 minutes to arrive and was a disappointment. With feeble excuses that it had been a great, busy...More

If you follow directions to the railway station, there is a free car park there. However be prepared because there is quite a steep walk to the pub (300-400 metres away).
