Good atmosphere and great staff. 6 of us came for a birthday meal and it was really good. Two were following some quirky keto diet and the kitchen were more than helpful in accommodating a couple of food swaps to keep us on track. The...menu was interesting with a wide variety of toppings for burgers, sauces for salads, etc. The burgers were home made type and tasted great. My 11 year old discovered haloumi burger with red pepper and hummos, and now wants to go back again. Really good meal, will definitely return.More

I stay in Premier Inns 3/4 nights a week and this is miles better Good Quality home made food just what you want. Nice old Victorian Pub.

This is a great pub with great beers and wines . There is selection of burgers which my son had one and he said was great ! This a friendly pub well worth a visit. Like to spend money in there simply just because of...such a friendly staff and athosphere !More

Having found this place online with good reviews, i was concerned walking in as it looked a little tired but the service, food and atmosphere was great.

3 of us went for dinner on a Friday, I am coeliac and the pub offers great options anyway but as it was quite the kitchen staff offered to make virtually anything on the menu gluten free. The staff were so great and the food...was amazing!! Cocktails are also really good! Absolutely recommend, have been a few times since and always great.More

When The Rockstone reopened under new management, post-lockdown, it had some gaps which one could put down to teething troubles. Unfortunately, some months on, they are still there which means the pub's offering has settled on the generic. Seeing the ale pumps sit empty as...you walk in says everything - the attention to detail which made The Rockstone a standout destination just isn't there anymore. It's fine and clearly appeals enough to be busy for groups (for which it is well set up - do book), but no better now for the experience than many other places within walking distance.More

We booked a table for a large group of us and placed a pre-order before we came. There is a very good variety of drinks on offer and the quality and prices are very reasonable. The food came out all at the same time considering...we had a large group was very good and was all fresh and hot. The chocolate orange cheesecake was also well received. Highly recommend!More

We wanted to find a dog friendly pub. It certainly is dog friendly and the food was amazing. We wanted to have cocktails after dinner and the amazing bar staff went off menu to make some yummy drinks. We had a lovely evening in The...Rockstone.More

Used to frequent this fabulous pub before covid and this is the first time our group of friends had met up since. New management so apprehensive that it would not meet up to our previous experiences. Needn't have worried. It was the best night. Great...food and good ales. Char and Anna were amazing front of house. They were attentive and made sure that we were catered for all night. Great atmosphere and great food. Met a friend here for a bite to eat and a cheeky drink on a Friday after a busy week. The food was so good and such good value for money... can't remember the last time I went somewhere and...got salad AND chips with my burger. The general vibe was lush and the people super friendly. If you're looking for somewhere to take your friends to chat and drink I highly recommend this place! 10/10!!!More
