Moved to the village last year and have celebrated 2 birthdays there. Manager very accommodating and goes the extra mile. I would highly recommend. Nice warm open fires and they have just started offering food.

The pub now has two large TV screens which were showing football plus the volume of the music was up really loud as well.... More

There are too many pub chains about now that serve the same tasteless food but this 'local' pub was a welcoming find. Friendly and welcoming staff and the place certainly has character. We'll be going back again as... More

Been going here for years. Taken over by new management maybe 6 months ago or so - first visit not bad - kept some of the homely feeling with home cooked food nice atmosphere. This time a couple of months later . The vegetables with the exception of the cauliflower cheese (a pub tradition ) were the worst I have... More

We visited mid week looking for a quiet pub serving food & this pub delivered both. The Cottage is a small 'locals' pub with a small eating area just off the main bar. The staff were friendly & welcoming & we were soon seated at our reserved table .Although the menu wasn't extensive there was a reasonable choice. The food itself... More

Went to the cottage for lunch, which was fabulous. Really friendly staff and great real ales on. Stayed while the rugby was on and a really family friendly atmosphere, even had a rugby ale on !! Great pub keep up the hard work.
