Menu was okay, not a massive choice. I had the chicken, ham and leek pie. The food was very hot and lovely but not much of a pie, as less than half the pie dish was covered with a crust.

Staying over in a nearby hotel found Southampton arms was a busy Saturday night. The wife and myself were really hungry after a long day of driving.. they were fully booked but made room for us, and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing...nice beer and staff were pleasant and helpful glad we stopped byMore
On a spur-of-the-moment booking, haven't been there for a few years now, the staff were very accommodating, the service was excellent even though they were very busy, nothing was too much trouble, and the food was oh so good and plenty of it, we couldn't...fault it in any way, the atmosphere was good, we were eating in the conservatory area, the star of the evening apart from our 2 friends was, without doubt, the food followed by the staff, thank you, chef, and thank you, ladies, for a lovely evening, a great evening at a very reasonable price, Thank you, we will see you all again soon.More
Good menu choice reasonably priced. Although they were busy the service was excellent. Food was well cooked. We will definitely be back.
We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express pre cruise and made the effort to walk here and it was well worth it. We had a drink in the afternoon when we looked at the menu and after exploring other options in the area telephoned them...to make a booking. Staff could not have been more accommodating. I had enjoyed a particular glass of wine in the afternoon and asked if they sold it by the bottle. The lady said she would ask the bar person which it was and make sure a bottle was available. When we arrived it was ready in an ice-bucket on our table which was a really nice touch. It is not an overly extensive menu but is varied and does not lack choice. The quality of the food is excellent and the portions generous too. We had no room for puddings after 2 courses so took our bottle of wine into the bar to finish off a very enjoyable evening.More
Went for some food and a drink here for the 1st time. We both had the lasagne and couldn't fault anything. Chunky Chips perfectly cooked, great side salad with dressing and a beautiful lasagne, even got a piece of garlic bread thrown in. I asked...for tartar sauce for my chips, but food was so well seasoned I used nothing, not even salt which has never happened. Will 100% be back and also recommend.More
Came here for a friends Wake. Staff were brilliant food was good, drinks served quickly cocktails excellent.I can highly recommend the Vodka passion fruit cocktails
I had a really nice time here. Children playing in the garden. Blokes playing cards in the bar. Cricket and darts on the telly. Families and friends having drinks, chatting and singing. What's not to like? I had a proper meal. Nothing fancy, steak chips...peas mushrooms onion rings. You can't go wrong. Staff attentive and friendly. Lovely evening. Plenty of parking. Absolutely recommended by meMore
Dog friendly pub. Very welcoming. We had sandwiches and they were brimming with filling, a small side salad and coleslaw garnish. Excellent value at around £6 something.
We had a large family (18 people including babies and children up to 9 years) lunch for Mother’s Day and had preordered via email with Martina who was very helpful and good at communicating with me throughout. All of the meals were served at the...same time and were piping hot and were correct which can be difficult with that amount of meals even with a preorder. The food was really tasty and had good portion sizes too. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful too. We will definitely go back again and thank the whole team there for such a lovely lunch :)More
Bought our mum for a meal before going to the theatre. Never been before but it was lovely. Service was quick and the food was excellent. Would really recommend The staff were brilliant 👏 We would definitely return.
Good food, large portions, reasonably priced. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Felt very welcome as soon as we walked in.
The food was really lovely with generous portions throughout. Great service too. Thoroughly reccomend and definitely be going back
Went here for the very first time for dinner mid-week, and was initially a little disappointed by the menu (no fish n chips only scampi n chips). I ordered the fish pie and my husband ordered the steak pie - both were exceedingly good, tasty...and good sized portions. The fish pie was probably one of the best I've ever tasted - lots of fish chunks, nice thick and creamy with lots of veg. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient.More
We stopped here for some food and expected your standard pub food. We were wrong, the quality of food was really good and the portions huge. Great value for money. Nice cold beer too
