A lovely little cafe with superb ice cream. We go regularly & never tire of the place. Good tea & coffee too.

Found this little after a stroll along Riverside park. I had an iced coffee milkshake ... which was amazing and very much needed after that heatwave.
Went here for a coffee with a friend as it is local, never been here before and won't be going again. Not very welcoming and the seating is very uncomfortable narrow wooden bench like seats but the wide cushioned seating had a notice "reserved for...staff"!!!! We ordered tea/coffee and a cake, which was fine but they never brought the cake, after ten minutes wait I asked for the cake which was brought over!!!More
Had coffee and sandwich while checking the local area having just moved in. Wonderful place excellent food
Convinced by TA reviews, the two grand children and grandparents visited, supposedly for the grandsons birthday treat. I had reasoned that as it was near Lunch hour, we could have a light bite too. The positives;- fab coffees (2) made by machine. Fab home made...butternut squash soup with local bread. (1) Reasonable price, as were the cokes. The negatives; - I could see the sliced wet ham being taken out of a packet. No proper meat. Paninis - they don’t have ciabatta, it’s sliced bread . So then why not call it a toasted sandwich then? No greeting upon entry, no acknowledgement when we left. I put this down to young inexperienced staff that are very quiet but you certainly don’t feel welcomed. 10 year old Grandson passed on ‘panini’ and had what’s is loosely termed waffle. Even He said it was absolutely terrible, it’s clearly out of a packet, small and limp with a small selection of fruit and syrup. We were charged the shocking price of £5.95. Read my next review for Sprinkles, Portswood, to see that the massive proper thing was £1.55 more in Sprinkles and worth every penny. We asked for the cream teas. They don't do them any more. (By the way, we had to keep getting up to go to the counter, both to view the menu boards and to speak to the members of staff as there are no menus and you have to order at the counter.) We then gave up, paid our £25 and then visited Sprinkles. Shocking, over priced, under delivered and not customer oriented at all.More
This is a small cafe on Manor Farm road which my grandson [aged 3] said we must visit. The staff were friendly and helpful when discussing food allergies . All the ice creams have a comprehensive list as to the ingredients. We were welcomed to...eat in or takeaway and nothing seemed too much trouble. My grand son was right. Excellent ice cream at a reasonable price.More
Quite rightly one of the top places for desserts in Southampton. Located outside the hustle and bustle and near to the Bitterne Country Park this place offers up a wide variety of ice creams, shakes, sundaes and smoothies. Also homemade cakes and American pancakes. Speciality...teas and coffees. Very friendly and welcoming staff, with on road parking. 4 legged friends are welcome.More
The Songbird provides the most delicious Marshfield Farm ice cream, which is mostly gluten free. You can go wild with all sorts of sundaes and other lovely creations, plus cakes and various savoury dishes too. Great atmosphere. Outside seating for the nice weather.
I had the most amazing afternoon tea here for my daughters hen do, they provided me with a delicious selecting of gluten free cakes which were all hand made and a lovely selection of gluten free sandwiches. It was a very reasonable price too.
Had an amazing afternoon tea here for my hen do. It was delicious! Such a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and laid back. Even managed to cater for my family members with various dietary requirements. Massive thank you! Would 100% recommend this...little treasure of a cafe ❤️More
