The Fox Reopened in November 2018 after an extensive 18 month full refurbishment and extension. A 19th Century inn that was remodelled in the early 1900's in the arts and craft era. It is nestled in the stunning country village of Crawley, Just 3 miles from Winchester Train Station. Surrounded by thatched cottages, a duck pond and beautiful Hampshire countryside. It truly is the destination location for the Winchester area and boast a large but cosy bar, 5 luxury B&B suites and two restaurants along with outside seating and outside cooking. We pride ourselves on only using local, Hampshire produce that we buy directly from growers, farmers, fisherman and artisan producers. All our food is cooked

Where to start? Crawley is a lovely setting and a picturesque English country village. Our room was very comfortable and well laid out. Spotlessly clean. Evening meal was fantastic. Cauliflower soup was so tasty, as was the lamb and pork main meals. However, the raspberry...soufflé was to die for, many thanks and respect to Tina for all her skills in the kitchen. Breakfast was also gorgeous. Full English and Eggs Benedict both fab. Staff were all brilliant and so friendly. Great value all round. We were spoilt!! Many thanks to Lenny and all his team. WE shall be back!!!!More

Stayed here as attending a wedding locally, Wow! We really got lucky. Beautiful decor, location, rooms superbly clean and immaculate, coffee pod machine & fridge were a nice extra surprise. Pristine in every way. Beautiful outdoor decked sunny gardens. All the staff were just amazing...happily catered to all our vegan requests, breakfast was devine, they really couldn’t do enough.... wish we had been able to stay longer. Thank you The FoxMore

Visited The Fox for a birthday meal and stayed overnight. The service and food were superlative - the cooked breakfast was a (filling) piece of artwork, wonderfully cooked. Room absolutely excellent.

Having chatted to Cally before booking to check out the parking we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome! What a superb setting , Cally , Cleon and all the staff made our lunch with friends a truly memorable afternoon. Service was really efficient ,...friendly and relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. Compliments to the chef as the food was extremely tasty, of excellent quality and beautifully presented. The Fox is a lovely place in a quaint village. Immaculate decor and feels genuinely a place you would recommend to anyone who is looking for a perfect spot to spend an afternoon. Cleon was attentive and very efficient, making sure we had everything we needed. We will not hesitate to visit again very soon . It is lovely to find a place that goes above and beyond to make sure your visit is memorable. Thank you to all at the Fox !More

Visited The Fox for my family birthday meal. Service and Food were excellent. The pub is set in a beautiful location, and has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The car park was full on arrival, however on street parking with a short...walk was available. Would recommend this pub to anyone looking for a meal out location.More

A wonderful dining experience to finish our short stay with friends in the area. The restaurant has beautiful decor and outdoor spaces, lovely staff and food was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. Very much enjoyed by all even if there was a bit of confusion...with our bill which was all rectified. Thank you, would definitely return if we are in the area again.More

We were here as a bridal party for my sister’s wedding. This hotel exceeded expectations in every respect. The food was amazing. The rooms are just lovely - comfortable with great facilities. The staff were out of this world - especially Tina and Callie. They...were so kind and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us - making sure our family and the bride could prepare for the wedding and sorting anything we asked for. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in the UK in years and was sad to leave. Looking forward to being able to return one day. Thank you all so much. Fabulous.More

It was our 1st wedding anniversary and we decided to treat ourselves visiting The Fox. We were welcomed by the lovely Carlos, who showed us to our room, The Stockbridge. It was a beautiful room, decorated with delightful designer furnishings which gave it a very...homely feel. There was a fridge with fresh milk, the tea tray was loaded with a variety of yummy biscuits as opposed to just one packet between two, a lovely selection of teas and a nespresso machine for coffee. Small luxury touches of essential oil toiletries, thick cosy white towels and glass bottles of water were a lovely surprise. There was a huge fan, a DAB Bluetooth radio, loaf sofa bed, Bosch Iron and hairdryer. The food was out of this world and cooked to perfection, we had home made scotch eggs for starters, the line caught fish & chips and Waygu beef burger for main and poached pear for dessert and because it was our anniversary the staff decorated a plate with white chocolate and fresh fruit spelling out ‘Happy Anniversary’ this was a lovely touch. The breakfast was just what needed after a little too much Gin and champagne, we had fresh pastries, full cooked breakfast and plenty of warm toast. Tina, who served us, was full of helpful and historical knowledge of the area and surroundings giving us loads of ideas with what to do! All of the staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive making you feel like the only people there even though the pub was packed! This is our new favourite place and we will definitely be going back to stay! Thank you Foxy staff for making our weekend so special! See you very soon! Shellie & Matthew Barnes-McKayMore
