First visit to this little Bistro, hubby had full cooked breakfast, daughter had vegetarian breakfast and I had smashed Avocado, poached eggs less bacon but extra item Cumberland sausage which was paid for. Food arrived reasonably quickly, which was good however both of the cooked...breakfast had tiny sauce pot of beans which was little disappointing!My breakfast the Avocado was also chunky, lacked any seasoning or flavour could be more tastier. Rest of the meals were fine, as expected . We didn’t complain however as the portion of beans was tiny, both of my family thought it was tight amount and they asked for more. The waitress said no problem, and brought a small ramekin dish approx 100g and said nothing. Upon finishing our breakfast, as we were walking to the door, the waitress stopped and asked my husband to pay £2 for the extra ramekin of beans!! Could your staff have not said there would be an extra charge prior to serving or even clearing up the table? Little cheeky in our opinion.. to blame the cost on rising prices when a small can of well known tastier beans would be less than 80p ! The attitude of the waitress at the counter was not friendly and lacked hospitality training.More
