My wife and I are on a few days holiday in Ledbury and thought we would try this pub as their menu looked very good - good wholesome 'Pub grub'. A couple of friends came with us and I must say none of us were disappointed. We tried one of the local Ciders, Mortimers which was very smooth and flavoursome... More

Having moved to Ledbury in December have been tempted to go in every time I walk past but as you can't see in etc I felt nervous especially with the children ...finally plucked up the courage! Had two drinks with a friend and my 20 month old we were made to feel welcome and whilst the pub isn't aimed at... More

This pub can be quiet or very busy depending on the day and time. The beer is always well kept so well worth a visit. In a lovely location and dog friendly. Has live music some days and always a good soundtrack but not too loud. A proper pub.

We have visited this pub several times and have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We called in there today to order lunch and could not believe how rude the barman was to us. He made a mistake when he put through our order and then started shouting at us !!?? A very rude man who needs to learn... More

My partner and I popped in without knowing about it on a Friday night. We got there about eight, just in time for something to eat. I had good beer and excellent food. Nothing flashy or pretentious, just good honest pub grub, and plenty of it. Mixed in with a good atmosphere, and welcoming staff, you don't get much better.... More

The staff were really welcoming and accommodating - moving furniture around to fit us in. There was a good range of beers and gins and the atmosphere was pleasant and friendly. Food was good value, simple pub grub, like pies and roasts.

Wonderful to find this old fashioned pub in a wonderful market town. Situated in the oldest street in Ledbury . Serves lunch and dinner, all homemade excellent food, try the steak and ale pie- it's magnificent. A great range of real ales and ciders and mine host will let you taste before you buy.

Visited for lunch. Fantastic range of real ales and real ciders, but the fires were off on a very cold day and it was very cold! We had an uninspiring Ploughmans lunch though the staff did their best and were friendly and helpful. We would, return for the great ales and ciders , but probably wouldn't bother with the food!
