The Black Griffin is known as "The pub with a personality"! The outside of the building is beautiful and inside it is cosy, warm and welcoming. Came in for lunch... very friendly bar staff who highly recommended the homemade pies and she wasn’t wrong.
I had the goats cheese, sweet potato and spinach pie with mash and it was banging.
My partner also enjoyed her hunters chicken.

Just stopped for a nightcap and were blown away by the quality of the entertainment . One guy one guitar but what a beautiful sound and repertoire. we stayed till nearly closing time thanks to very nice bar girls who looked after us..

The barmaids were ill equipped/trained in any type of people skills and I can honestly say I have never received such appalling service in my 34 years of 'pub life' truly awful and to be avoided at all costs. Dreadful.
