I had actually booked to eat at The Old Brewery Tavern (see my review, suffice it to say it was a disaster). But the guy did recommend this place, and it was just what we were looking for. It was only 6pm, but it was...More

Found this place with friends. Great beer and service from Sam was excellent! Only sampled the spicy chicken wings which made me want to come back for more food! Great place! A must if in the town! Thank you! Amanda

This restaurant is also a brewery and you can see the big vats from the seating area. There is a good choice of beer and you can have taster selections. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions are enormous! We really enjoyed the hummus...More

An excellent selection of real ales and ciders, all rewed on the premises. Meals looked appealing although we did not sample on this occasion. Friendly and helpful service. Spacious bar and seating outside as well.

No -we weren't aware of the ale tasting. A booking seemed to be helpful at the weekend. We did it and all tables were occupied.

Definitely dog friendly - although we did sit outside. The dog got his own bowl of water and a treat from one of the staff.
