My daughter is a student at the university, and last summer when she moved house i stayed the night in Canterbury, she suggested the foundry as i am an ale drinker, London Pride is my normal tipple. Love the choice of local beers last time, so as i was staying the night in Canterbury again we went back. There is... More

An interesting pub and restaurant. Staff v friendly and Foundry beers are very good. Food was disappointing. Limp salad, dried out chicken and sauces out of a bottle. Onions rings were good, though. Lower end of pub food scale.

Sought out the Foundry upon a local man's recommendation and was delighted with the food selection which were of a portion size suited to larger appetites, but more specifically the option to have 5 third pint tasters of their excellent range of beers. Perfect volume for us at lunchtime, to be able to share and taste 5 brews whilst not... More

My first visit was a lunchtime with a couple of friends, unfortunately only one pie(triple mini pie with triple sampler beer) left.Nice lunch nevertheless. My next visit was for dinner with 8 friends,we had pre booked,so were expected & the upstairs was empty so not busy. 3 of the party ordering from the menu were told,"sorry, sold out." "Then they presto they... More

Dropped in here for some nosh, ribs here are not to shabby at all, ordered full rack as I'm a greedy little piggy, large rack very tender and tasty, Wife had mac n cheese again fairly large portion, as she likes a large portion now and again, reasonably priced couple of drinks, with the beer brewed on the premises. Me and my partner came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy, and we were told there would be a bit of a wait for the food. This is fine, but we didn't think we'd be waiting over 1hr 20 mins for a couple of burgers! When the food did finally arrive, it was horrible. The chicken... More

An interesting microbrewery, originally a Victorian foundry. Serves a wide range of microbrewed ales and porters together with a selection of high alcohol brews. I found the ‘Gold’, ‘Torpedo’ and ‘Dragon’ ales to be very good (out of a selection of 10 different brews – only in Canterbury for 3 days so didn’t have time to try the full selection!).... More

Great little find, lots of beer made on the premises. You can see the beer being made. I had the foundry burger , with blue cheese, really nice. My wife had beef brisket, again really nice, fresh veg cooked exactly right served piping hot. Bottle of reasonable Argentinian Chardonnay only £16. Check out the gin and tonic menu!

Nice little pub, great beers. Not too impressed about the food, except the pork ribs which were alright and a big portion (didn't like the burger and calamari for starter).

Hidden away in the back streets of Canterbury, the Foundry Brew Pub is a real gem! Huge choice of beers and cider. My partner had a beer followed by a cider, and i had a glass of lovely merlot. Planning to try a gin next time. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food is excellent. The chicken... More
