I have visited the restaurant twice for breakfast, both times it has taken an inordinate amount of time to be served. On the first occasion we visited it took a good hour between ordering until our food arrived - still not entirely sure how it takes this long to cook toast and a bacon sandwich. Visited again today having been... More

Firstly, we love The Goods Shed and all the different food and drink areas. The coffee is excellent in the restaurant and it's nice to sit down comfortably in the gallery area. We called in at 11.30am on a weekday only to be told that no coffees were being served as the staff were getting ready for lunch. Really, how... More

We booked 4 for Sunday Lunch, as we had heard great things about this restaurant. Set in the produce market, the location was perfect for fresh food ;surrounded by the stalls of produce. We all ordered scallops to start, which consisted of 2 queen scallops on a small bed of spinach served in a scallop shell @ £8.50 each -... More

Didn't book so was really delighted to be offered a table. In the farmers' market and prides itself on using local produce. Good bread, lovely nibble of pickled octopus served warm. Main courses of rabbit wrapped in ham and smoked haddock served on spinach with leek and potato chowder both lovely. Simple presentation. Save space for pudding. Pear and ginger... More

No criticism of the service or kitchen as both were very good BUT it wasn't, in my opinion, value for money. I had the duck breast, and whilst the meal was well executed, the portions were small (I don't even think it was a full breast) and it could certainly have done the addition of some vegetables. I am not... More

This review is about the elevated restaurant by the windows, not the farmer's market. We have dined here for several special occasions, including birthdays and Valentine's Day. Every visit so far has been an absolute pleasure. The food is delicious and locally sourced with high quality ingredients. The staff (especially the young, blonde waiter) were very friendly and helpful. There... More

This review is about the restaurant, not the farmer's market. I had a 3 course lunch preceeded by the the cocktail of the day! The food was delicious, portions sizes sensible and served well. Although we took our time, there was no attempt to hurry us. The venue is just outside Canterbury West station, with the restaurant area raised up... More

We went to look at this place for lunch , but ended up not eating there for no other reason than I didn't want a big meal, but we had a good wander around. What a fabulous place, Kent at its finest, local produce, nice staff, everyone friendly and knowledgable and some fabulous fresh produce, with lots of different pockets,... More

Popped in for breakfast in restaurant today (23rd December) prior to Christmas shopping. Arrived 8.15 and only two tables of 2 already there. Greeted by a very pleasant young waitress. Sat at the end by the kitchen and ordered - to be honest bearing in mind the number of people there it was quite a while before order was taken.... More
