This restaurant used to be very good value for money until about three years ago, now the portions are smaller, there is less choice on the menu and the staff seem to be in another world half of the time. I have had cold pasta served up on more than one occassion

pre-cinema visit for three - were seated quickly on a busy night even though we were late for our booking - menu held no surprises but we enjoyed our starters - the lemonade and raspberry lemonade were good - and the pizzas were very good - light and tasty - puddings were great - cheesecake described as 'one of the... We often go to Ask in Faversham and Canterbury for family meals because of their reliable menu and reasonable prices in addition to discount offers so we booked a table at Canterbury Ask to entertain a visiting family member from abroad. We were shown to a table in a basement. It was so cold that we had to keep our... More

My friend and I visited last night and we are never disappointed with the food, the service or the atmosphere. Last night was no exception. The food was amazing-each course, the service was it's usual friendly and fast service we have always had without feeling rushed. We always come to Ask when we're out in Canterbury and will continue to do... More

Visited this restaurant for dinner before going to the Marlowe. Hadn't booked but they kindly found us a table for 3 and the service was friendly. Homemade Pizza was very nice but the pasta dishes were very bland and uninteresting - not as good as other Italians in canterbury with similar menus. Tiramisu dessert was beautiful and very generous portion!

Being Italian I always tend to be extra critic when I venture to Italian restaurants. At Ask Italian I had a very good tasty pizza with generous toppings. Even the pasta dishes were delicious and we left the place with a good taste in our mouths. Will visit again

We were on a night out and this meal was very nice and the service was very prompt. However I ordered a mixed salad, but ended up with a rocket salad which I did not want. But I would return to this venue and give them a second chance.

Last minute booking for lunch for the four of us. Nice table, helpful staff and good food. I chose Ask Italian as the menu catered for all four of us - one with limited likes, one vegitarian, and the other two of us. Pleasantly surprised by the bill and a nice way to while a way a couple of hours... More

The wife and I wanted a quick meal before watching The Full Monty at Marlowe Theatre. Arriving on the High Street at six we hadn’t thought anywhere would be busy on a Monday night; we were wrong, it was heaving and Ask Italian squeezed us in at the back of its very busy restaurant. We shared a Bruschetta starter that... More

This is a rally nice cosy restaurant in the middle of Canterbury. It looks like, and might well have been a big old house so the restaurant is divided up into small rooms with 5 or so tables in each. The service was great the staff were really polite and cheerful and the food was very nice. I wanted to... More
