The restaurant is elegant and relaxing, with a romantic atmosphere. The staff is professional, prepared and very polite. The menu offers few courses of fish, meat and vegetarian, giving the opportunity to the costumers to choose, plus there's a tasting. The food is perfectly cooked,...More

We enjoyed eating here during our stay. Their 2 or 3 course Sunday lunch is excellent. We also stayed over Christmas and the Christmas lunch was amazing.

This is one of the more expensive restaurants in Canterbury but worth every penny in my view. There is a good selection of meat and fish dishes and each course is beautifully presented. The service was very good. I’ve eaten frequently when visiting Canterbury and...More

Disappointing to say the least after good past experiences. Bland main with tasteless vegetables (that were forgotten when order arrived); 'leftover' cheese at £6 supplement each was pitiful; bar had no prosecco, table booked for 6pm and were assured that we would be taken through...More

It's been perhaps just over a year since we dined at the County Restaurant within the ABode hotel for an evening meal. You of course wonder if the standards have risen or fallen since your last visit. But I'm pleased to report a very enjoyable...More

Had our company Christmas meal here last year. Our MD books expensive places and really pushes the boat out. The place looks great but then it all falls down. The staff were all very young and inexperienced ... they hadn't got a clue what they...More

Description
Paying homage to the hotel's extensive history, the restaurant takes its name from the original name established for the hotel in 1892. Modern European cuisine using the best regional produce is complemented by an exceptional wine list from classic European vineyards and New World estates. For special occasions and celebrations, our private dining rooms are the perfect venue, boasting its own 'chef's table' where up to 12 guests can dine in privacy with a view behind the scenes of the kitchen.
