We had a stop off here with our little dog, we were only visiting for 1 day, All the staff are very friendly and Sam is very chatty and knowledgeable of the area, we didn't eat here but we looked at the food that was coming out and it looked delicious. The tables and chairs are well spaced out due to covid. Keep up the good work guys ! Hope to see you again.

I arrived at the Elephant and Hind to meet 2 friends in the afternoon around 1530 (still here at 1800 and ready for more). Got seated pretty quickly to see our friends in what looks to be a market square. The barman who I believe was called Carl, couldn't be of more assistance, speedy servings for drinks and he let me bring in a KFC from over the road as I was a tad peckish. Overall a top place and certainly on the list of pubs to visit in the sun in Dover. 6/6

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday which was 1/3 off burger day it seemed…so, we both had burgers. Why not, right? I had the bacon cheeseburger and a pint of London Pride and my wife had the cheeseburger and a pint of Heineken. Our burgers came with chips and cole slaw and were served with all the salad trimmings on an excellent pretzel bun. We ordered at the bar with the help of a very friendly Batman who made certain we were well cared for throughout our visit. It is a “modernized” pub, but still had that nice friendly pub “feel”. I have no issue recommending the Elephant and Hind. Give it a go and see what you think.

We had a meal for 3, it was great. Proper burgers, not frozen, loads of fantastic chips and salad all for 9.99 each.
Kimmy, our server/bar girl/ order taker was lovely and very efficient.
They definitely need more staff though, we got in early so had no problem, but then lunchtime rush happened and we heard at one point there were 28 people waiting for food. It was not kimmy’s fault because she was doing everything and still checked that each customer was happy and had everything they needed.
Management, get more staff, as people were going elsewhere for their food.

Only in the area for one night, we found this establishment at the heart of Market Square. We were entertained with live music and had a blast. Now the food was exceptional. With all produce made on site it was like eating Pizza in Italy and I can't recommend it enough. The service was on point all evening, and the atmosphere second to none. Would highly recommend to anyone living or visiting Dover!

I’m not really a burger person. But for some reason today, I really wanted a nice good burger.
Upon entering the barman was courteous and polite, showing me the 2 4 1 pizzas available today, as I was on my own I didn’t really fancy 2! But a great offer for a couple/ family visit.
Looking around I felt the interior is warm and welcoming, modern but still keeping that old school pub vibe to it.
A fair selection of interesting craft and casual beers. Which is great for me as I like places like this bud usually they only sell craft which I’m not a fan of.
I ordered the ‘Tower Burger’ and it was great! The meat was cooked well. Not incredibly over cooked and dry as I find most places. It came with 2 hash browns which worked really really well.
Overall I’m really happy I popped in for a late lunch, it was a real good find and I will be returning, likely with family again.

Our band NOT The Shadows played a gig at the E&H last night. I have to say that Kim & the team couldn’t have done more to make us welcome. And as a result, we had a really good night as did the clientele which were really friendly too. A couple of band members ate at the pub too & said the food was really good with generous portions. Great pub to sit & watch the world go by of a daytime too.

OK so it's 14.30h with 5 hungry pre-teens and 5 adults. Where can we possibly find somewhere to eat? Answer - the Elephant and Hind. We were welcomed with open arms and carefully selected 10 meals...only to be told (hooray) that kids eat FREE! Drinks included. I shared the seafood platter with No 1 son, and was too busy eating a drinking a chilled Chardonay to really notice what 8 others were tucking into. It was a noisy happy place thanks to Sam(antha?) Although I won't be over from France for a while, I shall definitely be back. Highly recommended.

The reviews were good in regard to the food however we received some very overpriced and underwhelming burgers. Some parts were cold the others bland and they can in at a hefty price. As I mentioned it’s probably good for an ale or two but don’t eat here if you like tasty food.

I came here with the kids and was delighted. My wife and I enjoyed their fine selection of wines, expertly recommend by the manager. The food was hearty and comforting and the kids loved the hamburgers. The disabled access was smooth and the disabled toilets were very clean, they clearly are very accommodating. When we asked the staff for recommendations as to what to do in the area they went above and beyond and they obviously have expert local knowledge. Couldn't recommend more highly, much better than that white horse malarkey down the road!

I've been a few times for dinner and the food is top quality. I went with my partner and we sat inside to eat. It's cosy inside, but there's ample space to eat.
Bar staff and the owner are all incredibly friendly and really make an effort to provide good service. The food is very reasonably priced and tastes amazing. The food seems to be consistently good and I genuinely can't fault the place.
Definitely worth popping in if you haven't had a chance to.

The Ele & Hind is top local bar - great service, friendly and professional staff and a good selection of beers at reasonable prices. Fully Covid secure, its one of the best bars in town and attracts a decent, fun crowd. I would certainly recommend the Ele to those visiting the town!

Popped into the Elephant and Hind Pub, facing Dover's Market Square, for a spot of lunch. Very warmly welcomed by the bar staff & being a Friday I decided on their Fish, Chips & mushy peas. The meal was well presented with the crispy beer battered fish, homemade chips & mushy peas cooked perfectly. I will certainly return again & look forward to trying more from their varied menu.

I recently visited the Elephant and Hind pub in Dover and was pleasantly surprised by its cozy atmosphere and delicious sharer platter. The platter included halloumi fries, chicken wings, and nacho chips, and was the perfect size for two people. The halloumi fries were particularly tasty.
The pub also had live music, which added to the experience and made it a lively and welcoming space. The staff were friendly and attentive, making for a comfortable and enjoyable evening.
While I wouldn't say that the Elephant and Hind is a must-visit, it's certainly worth checking out if you're in the area. The cozy atmosphere and delicious food make it a great place to unwind with friends.

Really friendly pub, the bar lady was so kind and really helpful. The food was amazing. The pizza was perfect, massive and really reasonably priced. The burgers were amazing too! Again, big serving with lots of chips. We visited on a Friday when they had 1/3 off burgers.
Visited as a family with 2 young children (4,5) and we felt very accepted and welcome. Would definitely return and recommend.
