Parking close by. Track and trace in place. Staff courteous and friendly. Lunch menu ok. Long wait for food,no reason apparent,as fairly quiet, after offers had ended. Whitebait had strange Cajun style seasoning, not necessary,we both had this and a portion of chips to share and we waited over 40 minutes....for 2 small portions. The service wasn’t efficient, not bringing out condiments with the food, and not using a tray, when trays were readily available with even customers using to get their drinks from the bar. But overall we enjoyed it and the views! Recommend if you have time!

I came here with 2 friends for a birthday celebration having researched extensively somewhere nice to go other than the usual London haunts. I have to say we were beyond pleased with the Belle Vue. On arrival we were greeted immediately and shown to our table which was located in the upstairs part of the restaurant. The views out to sea were amazing. The menu choice was extensive and very reasonably priced and if people are wondering why there is a wait for the food to arrive from the point of ordering it will be because everything is cooked fresh to order and it certainly does not disappoint. It was utterly delicious and the service was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend a visit and we will definitely be returning even though we live miles away.

The pub is in a great location with beautiful coastal views in with great outdoor space for summer evening entertainment at the weekend and what you would hope to be a nice dinner during the week. Yesterday was my first visit since lockdown and I was extremely disappointed with my food, as were my friends. We ordered the chilli and garlic chicken makhani which one would assume was a curry. Our order took over an hour to arrive when we were finally presented with a little bowl of what appeared to be leftover chicken from something else and some tomatoes in a very bland sauce, a pile of dry yellow rice (not pilau) and two mini nan breads (these were the only edible things on the plate). For this gastronomic feast we were charged £14 each. It was awful. Sadly the focus seems to be on diners in the indoor restaurant with barely any concern for the diners outside. Also, to be charging £25 for a reasonable bottle of rose wine when there is no decent food to accompany it, is shameful. The young staff were very apologetic and i actually felt sorry for them having to front the constant complaints from other diners. On the upside, if you just want to go somewhere nice for a drink without any rowdy people around, it's nice for children and you can take your dogs in the garden too. Please improve your food and menu as it is a real shame and reflects badly on the pub reputation from previous times.....

We went here today and we ordered our food and we didn’t receive it for 2 hours, this happened to a few people today. Lots of people were complaining and waiting for hours for their food to come. We asked once where our food was and they said it would be with us next, it wasn’t, we asked again a few minutes later and they said it’s just being made now, bare in mind we ordered nachos, fish and chips and a sandwich and saw others get their food before us when they were after us in the queue. Also we were given no apology and my Nan choked on a bone inside of the fish and chips. Also the marquee that we were sat under kept almost taking off in the wind since there was no weights or anything to hold it down.

We first noticed this pub on a trip to Pegwell Bay last year and thought it looked so nice we must go and visit it. We are quite cautious when it comes to Covid and felt really reassured as all the measures were in place that you would expect from a decent establishment. Although it was especially busy because of the government's 50% off scheme and the nice weather, there is ample seating outside and we had no problem getting a table. Myself and my boyfriend don't eat meat but there was plenty for us on the menu. I had a curry and Phil had the fish and chips which were flying out the kitchen, they seemed very popular. Although part of the reason for going initially was the view, the pub inside which I saw when I went to order is really nice and I would definitely go back for a meal in the winter.

We have always loved it here, but something seems to be going wrong in the kitchen. On my previous visit we waited over an hour for chips on today’s visit nearly an hour and a half for a ‘curry’, which was luke warm and frankly insulting for the £14 charge… I had hoped that this was a blip, but reading other recent reviews it seems that a trend is appearing. Quite sad

I feel rather unhappy with the experience I had on Saturday last week, i was celebrating my hen do with 5 of my friends and family and we booked a table. We ordered food and a bottle and an hour later we wondered where our food was. As the menu is very limited (burger, scampi’s,cod, jacket potato) it seems our food had been given away… people that had come after us had recieved their food, and people arriving a while after us and ordering well after ours again recieved which means our food had gone to them!! I had 2 pregnant ladies with me and one who had to pop off for a scan so we asked the staff what was happening. Literally didn’t know anything! We asked for my friends food to be put into a box for her to eat on the way, and they refunded her and gave us another bottle of Prosecco and asked us if we are ok to wait another 7 minutes. Which 1 hours 30 later our food came which was very tasty just a shame really about the fact our food was taken and given to someone else and if we had not mentioned anything??? Would we have ever been given any food! But what really irritates me was the MANAGER sent this poor little server over to apologise and offer things to appease us instead of coming over herself!! I mean if you make a mistake you apologise don’t send some poor lad that’s on low pay running his arse off because they have hardly any staff!! I’m disappointed that you would put that on a kid! Anyway food was good so I hope next time I pop in to eat the organisation will be better 🤗 . Lovey place to sit but not much shade and under the trees you have bugs falling on you so probably could do with some extra cover also 👍🏼.

Came lunch here on Tuesday 5 August. I’ve never seen it so busy. As a regular customer I was not surprised how busy it was as the place is lovely. When we arrived we were told by the lady on arrival that there would be a queue to get to the bar of about 20 minutes and when we put our order for food in, a further 40 minutes at least. Obviously we worked out we were prepared to wait about an hour for food and thought we’d just have a drink or two. The view was worthy of an hour anyway so we chose our table which we were lucky to get as it was so busy! I had fish and chips and my friends had burgers and curry. They were amazing. They did take just over the hour to arrive but a couple or three drinks in the garden filled the time. The staff in the bar were obviously under a lot of pressure. To be honest some other customers were just being rude. We all know we were there to take advantage of the dine out offer! The staff were still smiling and friendly. Have been to the belle view many times and the staff and food are great. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. It was well organised and staff can’t do enough for you. We will be back to enjoy the eating out offer again I’m sure.

We were looking forward to eating here Friday night after looking at the menu on line but were a little disappointed with the experience. The upstairs restaurant is nicely decorated and very welcoming. The food we chose was very nice but lacked the wow factor the descriptions of it promised. We ate everything we had ordered but it was very underwhelming . Likewise with the service , the staff were friendly enough but not over welcoming or warm. Prices were a little on the steep side for what we ordered , the duck dish was £16 and the portion was small. Also £8 for a large glass of merlot is eyewateringly expensive even by London prices. We had a pleasant evening and a nice meal .

5 of us went there for lunchtime snack. Three people ordered panini, one sandwich and cod gouging in ciabatta. We waited a long time for the food. The cheese and onion panini had very little cheese , ham and cheese very little of either, not very hot either. The cod gougons were very greasy, as though they hadn’t been drained. The two worst paninis were sent back, and after a long wait new ones were brought, which were much better. Overall it was not a pleasant experience. The paninis were not charged for, but we won’t be going back any time soon. The excuse was lots of panini were being ordered, but that doesn’t explain why so little content.

Booked to have our Sunday lunch whilst holidaying in ramsgate. So glad we booked as it was raining and very busy. The value for money was very good and the Sunday lunch was something that you would love at home. Staff were really attentive

Wow. The location is amazing. The waitress service was brilliant, they really know their stuff and were happy to answer my wierd questions. I was particularly impressed by the friendly but effective manner in which all the new covid rules were explained. But to be honest, the best thing of all was the food. Oh my god! I had Sunday lunch with friends, the calamari starter was just perfect. The Roast beef main was incredible. Meat cooked to perfection. Roasts and Yorkshires were amazing. All of it was presented beautifully, with seperate veg and cauliflower cheese dishes and the portions were huge. I had gypsy tart mess for dessert. It was really cute and tasted great. They have great vegan options and gluten free options too. Great value for money. I'll definitely be back.

Had a meal here this afternoon, long wait wasn’t a problem but what was a massive problem was finding the long black hair in my food, half way through my meal🤢🤦‍♀️ Obviously I couldn’t eat the food. I Pointed it out to the owner, who’s response was ‘I’ll mention it to them’ I don’t know who ‘them’ are but there was no apology, no offer of another meal and no offer of a refund. Needless to say we will definitely not be going back again 😡

Saved by the view, the menu was virtually fish and chips or burgers, service was quite good when you realise that when outside, you go to the little hut and order food and drinks. The patio was nice but really needs a bit of work on tables, the foliage, the umbrellas it just could be made so nice with little expense and effort. However the sweets were divine, home made and absolutely lovely - especially the peach and blackberry crumble!

We were seated quickly when we arrived at the pub for a 1245 sitting on 11 October. We browsed the menu and decided on the roast beef with a lemon and lime drizzle cake with Madagascan ice cream and a crumble with custard. The main came out and it was presented very well. The veg arrived shortly afterwards. Everything was fresh and good quality. The different flavours of the food worked very well together. The swede with sultanas was a surprise. There were two generous slices of beef which were laid on top of some roast potatoes. The yorkshire pudding was a good size too. There were crispy parsnip shavings, mushy peas, maple glazed carrots, parsnips, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage and swede. We had to give it about 15 minutes afterwards to let that settle before we had the dessert. I would definitely recommend the Sunday roast and I am looking forward to trying it again next time we are in the area.
