In general the food was good but although they had plenty of staff service was slow and disorganised. We waited some time for drinks. We saw some people on the table next to us being served with fillet piedra - large steaks on a hot stone. Three of us ordered it (at £25.50) When ours arrived the steaks were just on the plate ( no hot stone) and looked smaller. We all had ordered peppercorn sauce which arrived a few minutes later (after asking for it twice). I had already started eating my steak as it was getting cold. It was a good steak but it didn’t really warrant that price and if they didn’t have enough stones to serve it as advertised, they should have told us. The only dessert available was ice cream. I appreciate that they were busy (it was an eat out to help out night) but they really needed better organisation.

Sat outside due to C19. Good service, not certain if the menu had been decreased, but I wanted Paella, and they had 4 variants. Opted for the la carne , around £35 for two,it came out piping hot and was very tasty. Will definitely go back

When we arrived we were given a table outside (we weren’t asked). However, my friend was cold and asked if we could sit inside and this was not an issue. Nice friendly staff and good food but we did wait a long time for the food to arrive. They were still offering the eat out to help out (which we didn’t realise) so we got discount from our bill which made it a cheap evening at £15 pp. two of us had paella which was delicious.

Came early with wife & 2 kids. We were almost the first people there, the service was appalling , food turned up really late & any attention from the staff needed a walk from outside every time. The spaghetti & meatballs was nice although extremely sparse with the sauce. I will add my 6 & 8 year old found it pretty easy to eat the adult portion and there aren't big. I ordered Spanish fish stew, the sauce was really nice but the lack of fish & shellfish meant the meal was small & the £22 price rather high. Sorry, won't be going back unless they improve.

We ate here last night to celebrate my birthday. From the off, we were met with lovely service and a willingness to attend to our needs. I chose spaghetti and meatballs, my wife the fish stew. I find in most italian restaurants the amount of spaghetti is disappointing so I asked that a generous portion be provided for which I would happily pay extra. Within the right amount of time, out came two very generous meals, both of which were tasty and perfectly cooked. The waiter could not do enough and I have to say that if you like a proper portion of pasta, then this is the place for you. A free limoncello shot helped settle our swollen tummies and a very reasonable bill followed. Overall a brilliant meal.

We were really looking forward to going because it was our wedding anniversary. Upon entering an empty restaurant my wife asked for the background music to be put on because the waiter had forgotten ( his Admission) We ordered the tempura prawns which came burnt (oil too hot) and were tasteless. When the main course arrived the Haddock fish cakes again were burnt and spoiled. Both the tempura prawns and the fish cakes were smothered in sweet chilli sauce rather than to serve the sauce as a side. My steak was very nice (served on a hot stone) which I enjoyed

Telephoned late Saturday, to book an early dinner for two at circa 18.15, warm welcome from Italian (Sardinia?) waiter, one other table occupied, drinks, olives, then we had mussels, calamari which were served very quick, but both very good. Then pork loin, lamb shank for main with a nice Rioja. Vegetables were a little cool, but meat was good and very hot, strange but not a disaster. Mussels, calamari were as good as tasted elsewhere. Overall a good meal. Note: they also have live music and food here, but this is upstairs, where you should take care if you are over 6ft when you visit the toilet!!!

Came for the jazz night so we paid an extra £5 entry. Upon arriving we were presented with a menu that was as far more limited than we had thought (based on the website). £13 for a pizza seemed extortionate but almost my whole table ordered thinking this was something that couldn’t be messed up. Unfortunately I was wrong. This was genuinely, and I cannot stress this enough, the worst pizza I have ever had in my entire life. Half of the table sent theirs back because they were undercooked. The pizza had practically no topping and the sauce was pure tomato purée. One person on our table ordered pasta but this came out cold. We ended up just eating it out of desperation after our food came 2 hours after being seated. The staff were really sweet and helpful when we complained but I honestly could not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I appreciate that Jazz night is busy but the prices could not justify the quality of the food. I would recommend waiting for the jazz to open as usual post-Covid than forcing yourself to eat here.

On arrival was greeted by a young waiter who was very pleasant and showed us to our table. It all went downhill after that. It took a long time for anyone to take our drinks order and we ended up ordering drinks and food together. Food was ok but no one came to offer us desserts and after waiting 40 minutes we gave up. They weren’t even very busy. I had to go and find someone to ask for the bill and it was practically thrown on our table by the older chap (head waiter??). Such a shame as the restaurant was recommended to me.

Judging by the overall good reviews, I have booked a table for one of the Jazz nights in the Pantiles. I couldn't have been more disappointed (and rarely take the time to post a bad review). To start, the food was very basic, far from authentic and overpriced for the quality/portions. In addition, it took ages to get the food and drinks (we have waited for 30 minutes for four drinks to be served). Finally, they have asked us for the final orders (which we hade done immediately) and after another 30 minutes came back to us noting that they have forgotten the order and the kitchen has closed 5 minutes before. Any restaurant should be judged by its authenticity, quality, price and overall service and unfortunately all of them have failed on this occasion.

We were blown away by the fantastic deep fried squid and halloumi so we were very excited to welcome the Paella de Moriscos for two. Unfortunately or us, this arrived with overcooked rice and a lack of depth. The seafood was cooked nicely and was flavoursome but it seemed that the rice was an afterthought, Probably the rice was cooked separately to accommodate a seafood and meat version. Whatever happened, this was a disappointing experience.

Booked a table here for 19:30 on Saturday night, we sat down at 19:20 and we were finished and done by 20:00. We ordered starters and literally as they disappeared our main came out. The food was dry and chewy and it felt like it had been sat on the hot plate, waiting for us to finish our starters. Most of it was left due to the latter reasons and also we didn’t get a chance to allow our starters to go down. The staff are attentive, but it was intense, as they kept coming back and forth to the table to ask if we were ok, give us more plates, finger bowls, top ups of water, different cutlery etc. I fully appreciate attentive staff, but it was to much, along with the feeling of how quickly the food came out, it felt intense and not relaxing. Once we finished our mains, our plates were taken away and that was it. So we got the bill and left, we were in and out within 45mins. Very disappointing and I felt really quiet sad leaving as we had really looked forward to it. Not somewhere I would recommend unfortunately.

We were looking forward to a meal as it was our wedding anniversary and we had eaten here before for lunch which we enjoyed. So we thought we would pop back as we live locally. My wife had meatballs which were small and had no flavour. I make them myself, I am not a professional chef but mine are far superior. I had chicken peri peri but again not great. The meals aren’t cheap and are certainly not worth the money. We didn’t complain we just won’t go back again. Service was good

First time visiting this restaurant. We arrived at our booked time 6pm . I assume it was the female owner who told us we had a table outside, however when I said we wanted to eat inside she was clearly annoyed that we wanted to do that so unfortunately our visit didn’t get off to a great start! There were 6 of us so we had a range of starters, definitely recommend the tempura prawns. For the main we chose meat and seafood paella which was lovely too! Overall, Great food, rubbish welcome

We had dinner at this restaurant towards the end of September. We booked it very late in the day, but the owner/manager did her upmost and got us a lovely table by the window. I would definitely recommend pre booking, especially Friday and Saturday nights. The restaurant was extremely busy with a lovely buzzy atmosphere, when we came back later to eat, there were quite a few large groups in celebrating birthdays. We ordered the Pinot blush to drink, whilst we decided what to eat. We settled on the honey courgettes Anna the halloumi from the tapas to share for our-starter. The courgette was absolutely delicious. For main we shared the meat paella 🥘 as my husband cannot eat fish. We were told it does take a little longer to cook, but it still came out fairly quickly. It was supposed to be for 2, but would of easily feed 4. Really tasty and better than some I have had in Spain. It was just way to big. The waiter did offer if we would like to take home, but as we we’re only in Tunbridge Wells for the weekend. We declined. We also saw lots of other tasty dishes coming out. My Y husband who loves pork, thought that looked especially delicious. For dessert I had an expresso martini, it was a really good one. And my husband had salted Carmel and rum and raisin ice cream. We were sat fairly close to the ice cream freezer, and the waiting staff were constantly doing ice creams for other diners. If We am ever in the area again. I we would definitely return. All the staff were extremely friendly, and worked incredibly hard. A great little restaurant, in the Pantiles.
