First time visiting here with my family and 5 months old baby . Our baby was happy and screamed from joy maybe once or twice not that he was crying. he was enjoying the environment. The waiter told us we have to keep the baby...quiet as the other customers complain.. Bare in mind there were ONLY 2 other families which i definitely know they didn't complain .. I was told by the waiter. AGAIN AND AGAIN that we should of mentioned we are visiting with baby before we reserved a table.. When i told him We have been to many other Persian restaurants like Behesht restaurants, ARIANA RESTAURANTS and couple of others they never complain anyone visiting with babies/ kids. I was told arrogantly Persian lounge is way better than them. Worst experience i had here. Surely it's our 1st and last visit here at PERSIAN LOUNGE.. THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY NOT A KID FRIENDLY.. I PERSONALLY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.. Their management will find any excuses to proof customers wrong.. P.S GUYS IF YOU'RE VISITING HERE WITH BABY'S/ KIDS... THINK TWICE !!!!More

Me and my friends were sitting outside on one of the hottest days of the year, we was having a few snacks and food and a few boys had approached us who were walking up the hill at the time, we had no idea who...these young boys were and they seemed to be quite drunk and loud but they were strangers to us. After about 5 minutes one of the waiters approached us, apparently called ‘G’ which I believe is a lie. ‘G’ told us that we had to pay and get out because we are ‘causing too much attention’ and attracting too many drunk boys. If men approach us we cannot help that, we even completely ignored the young boys and told them to keep walking. When I asked ‘G’ if I could speak to a manger she refused and I asked who the manager was and she refused to tell me. Completely avoid this restaurant!!! They are very very dismissive and ignorant towards their customers.More

Happened upon this so thought we would try Persian. We had a platter for two, The lamb/chicken/kofta was very good but was a little disappointed with the sides, we ordered,an extra salad which was a little mean compared with other restaurants we’ve been to and...also thought the bread might be more interesting than just pitta that could have been bought from the supermarket, I have been to Iran, they do lovely breads Thought £6.50 for a bottle of beer was a bit steep…More

We went on a quiet a Sunday night & all 4 of us were more than happy with the service & the food was faultless. The Manager is a delightful man & merits a busy restaurant. We will return.

For English people who know nothing of Persian cuisine, this would be an excellent place to experience truly delicious authentic Persian food. We had a platter of kebabs to share with barberry rice (which was light and fluffy) and it was fantastic. Persian food is...delicious when cooked well and it certainly is here. If you’ve never tried Persian food, you should and no better place to start than the PersianLounge. Loved it.More

Were returning clients to this restaurant but on this occasion we were very disappointed with the quality of food service and price over £80 for basic meal! I would not recommend going to this restaurant, food is very basic you can find better food in...Pizza Express for half the price. Drinks in particular are very expensive. Humous was very small and seemed as though was prepared yesterday. Deserts felt as though they were prepared a week ago and restaurant manager became very defensive and would not take any criticism on board and said his pricing is no different to anywhere else. We paid service charge but will not return again! Not friendly to children and were offered to sit outside with 6 month old baby as manager said kids disturb other customers, ironically there was only one other customer inside and also turned away other customer with baby. Not kid friendly!More

We visited on a busy Saturday evening with another couple to celebrate their joint 50th birthday. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel special. Our table had been decorated with bunting and balloons. We had plenty of cocktails and the food we...chose was delicious and arrived promptly. Any questions we asked were answered thoroughly. But what sets this place apart is the staff and the service they provide. We have assumed that the staff working were the owners and they are genuinely lovely people. Warm, friendly service which never seemed false. Thank you very much for a really lovely evening! We will definitely return.More

The flavours here are amazing. The garlic sauce is the best in town. Great food. Incredible prices. Good wines too. Its fantastic to find a new restaurant with new original flavours. Service is top notch.

Second visit and not disappointed, Different menu which is well cooked with good service. Price on the high side but not unreasonable.

Dinner with two friends and we all ordered the sour chicken shish with barberry rice. Absolutely exquisite. Genuinely the tastiest food I've had in ages. Attentive, friendly service too. Will definitely be returning.

Visited with my partner, we both chose different starters and kebabs from the set menu which we shared, all of the dishes were delicious and excellent value, and the quality exceeded that offered by many other similar establishments, as did the wine which was far...better than the house wines offered in other restaurants. The service was friendly and welcoming and I find it very hard to believe that some of the less impressive reviews are real. I would highly recommend this restaurant. If we don't support good local restaurants like this they will go out of business.More
