I popped in for an ice cream at del gelatos. On entering I was met by a massive fridge with a wonderful assortment of ice cream. I quickly ordered a knicker bocker glory. I asked for brandy snap, strawberry, and vanilla. It also came with...soft fruits fresh cream and 2 biscuits. The staff were lovely with very quick service. I will hopefully return to sample some more yummy delights.More
Service was terribly slow, waiting over half an hour for 3 milkshakes and a sundae. Went upstairs to sit as downstairs only had small tables empty, to be told upstairs was closed… no signs to say so and tables up there had been used as...plates were sat there, was pointed to a dirty table. They came and took the rubbish but never wiped the ice cream muck. Looking around they have also decorated a wall with real cones with marshmallows to look like ice creams, these are dusty and look like they have been there years. Doesn’t give hygienic vibes.More
Came for a treat which we ate in store, and was delicious as always. However issues arose after we decided to take some ice cream home for my other daughters. We asked to split the 5 scoop take out box into two sestate boxes for...allergy reasons, despite explaining this, we ended up paying for two separate take out boxes of two scoops, which was significantly more expensive, as they are unable to split boxes. A gentleman, who I assume was the manager came to apologise, and said it was just the way the system is set up, and advised he would pass on our comments. However, doesn’t stop you feeling as though people with allergies ( so a genuine reason for the request) are being penalised. Unfortunately this left a very bitter taste to what should have been a lovely afternoon.More
No hello we'll be with you shortly from the staff, no smile as we walked in and queued and no thank you as we left I asked why I only had the flavour of the ice cream and no shortbread, sauce etc on my scoop....One staff member explained that management tells them to scoop it from the back/ bottom to keep the displays looking good as he likes it that way Call me old fashioned but if I'm buying raspberry ripple cheesecake ice cream I would have liked some sauce and actual cheesecake Expensive too!More

Called in on Sunday I ordered 1 scoop of ice cream in a cup and 1 scoop in a cone this order took 20 mins for me to get I could not believe it 4 people behind the counter and this was how long it...took something needs to be done about customer service. I don't mind were I get ice cream from, as long as it is good quality. I popped in to get us both an ice cream on one of the hottest days of the year. It is still take away only. There were more staff than customers. I couldn't see a price list. There was a lot of choice. I ordered...2 ice creams, one mint choc chip and one Snickers. We had 2 scoops, not realising how big they were! At £3.30 each it was not the cheapest treat. 1 scoop would have been plenty. They were delicious though! I was a bit surprised that the peanuts were salted however (not exactly Snickers) and felt that it should be labelled as such. I would have chosen something different had I known.More
Waitress wasn’t wearing gloves and usually when they serve you the cone is wrapped in a napkin but this time it wasn’t so her hands were touching the cone. I can’t imagine she washes her hands every time she takes money from a customer or...touches other surfaces. You would think at the moment they would have been told to be extra cautious with regard to hygiene. I just hope she washes her hands when she goes to the toilet. But the ice cream did taste of strawberry and nothing else! I’m glad I didn’t ask for sprinkles!More
The ice cream was nice but what concerned me was the service. When the waitress brought over the order she was not wearing gloves so her hands were touching the cones. When I had been previously the waitress was wearing gloves and there was a...napkin around the cone. You would have thought with all the publicity about cononavirus they would be taking more precautions not less!!!!More
The service of the place was spot on and the quality of the food was brilliant. The staff where friendly. The seats where so dirty, I used the wipes and the wipes where black to be honest they shouldnt be this dirty if they get...cleaned daily. Even other seat looked as dirtyMore

Cold day, door wide open all times. Big sundaes but very boring, for price was expecting some cookie dough or pieces of in ice cream, bland and very little sauce in salted caramel one, just ice cream and cream, nothing special. Dissapointed. Was only 3...cake to choose from, was expecting choice and fanciness likes of cafe gelato, Newland Ave. Slow service, won't be going again and will telling others of the experience 👎More
