Excellent meal, have been planning to go here for the past week and kept looking at the menu on line to try to decide what to have, and my choices didn't disappoint. There was 4 of us in our party and every course we had was superb. Lobster Mac & Cheese was to die for, steaks were fantastic, sliders were... More

We popped in out of the rain when other food places where closed. A great find, tasty, well presented, good portions and friendly staff. We had beautiful ale too! Excellent. Look forward to visiting again. 😎

Visited with a friend about 4pm on a Saturday. We were lucky to get a table in this charming pub. We sampled the gin & then had lunch. I had 3 mini burgers, all a different type / flavour / filling (called sliders on the menu). Very tasty and filling! Service was friendly and prompt. Sadly couldn't manage dessert! Will... More

We called here on spec and grabbed the one available table downstairs. I discovered later that there is also a lovely dining room upstairs. Our lamb roast dinner was absolutely scrumptious. As was the glass of wine. I am already dreaming of a return trip and that speaks volumes.

Visited on a Wednesday night and it was half full in a very quaint little public house which has been restored lovely. We ordered our beer and could try a sample as they are not the usual beers that we prefer but they were good alternatives. We ordered our food, we both had a flat bread, mine with halloumi and... First visit for a meal was a little over a year ago, and was so impressed. Service, food & atmosphere was great. However, went for a Mothers Day meal, & was so disappointed. Service wasn't so good, the food, (after the long wait), was truly overcooked & generally bland. There was no mention or sight of the free welcome glass... More

On a wet and rainy Hull day we dived in here for shelter. The food here was spectacular along with the service. As a veggie I disagree with an earlier review who said that the restaurant needed to make them aware that their fries were cooked in beef fat. It states this on the window of the place and in... Popped in with the hope they had a spare table. We were in luck. No sooner had we sat down The placed filled up. Ordered two Sunday roasts. Wow. The tastiest Sunday lunch ever. Sirloin roast beef was cooked to perfection. The roasts were so tasty. All the veg, again beautifully cooked. We followed this with a rhubarb, apple &... More

Booked in for my partners birthday. 3rd visit, first was for lunch, 2nd was dinner. Tonight was our 3rd meal. Was absolutely amazing, staff were courteous, friendly and attentive. Food was out of this world. We both had scallops and both had Wagyu steak, absolutely faultless.... tasty, top class presentation and service. Highly recommend this place, pre book as always... Tried The Old House for lunch, having wanted to go for a while. The bar was cosy and in keeping with the sympathetically restored building in which it sits. The barman was friendly and very helpful. Dishes on the bar menu and main menu looked interesting and it wasn't easy to choose. We ate from the bar menu (burgers and... More
