Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came here for lunch and had a very pleasing experience. On arrival we had to queue for a short time as there were only six tables, but it was worth the wait. We were seated inside at a good distance from others, and the staff who served us both wore face masks. The service was very good, friendly and warm. The wild boar burger was absolutely delicious and nicely presented. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back. Thanks for a great lunch!

We had lunch in the courtyard one day and breakfast inside another. Both were delicious and the service was excellent.
The track and trace was easy to follow and the staff were all masked up - we felt perfectly safe and comfortable to enjoy our meals.

After trying to find a place that could accomodate lactose intolerance and have delcious food, we finally stumbled on this place and I am so glad that we did! They were great at letting me know what food I could swap out dairy items for dairy-free ones, and every member of staff were incredibly polite and friendly. The food was GORGEOUS and the coffee was great too.
The aesthetic of the place is also beautiful. I thought it was really well decorated, and even though the bathroom is very small I loved the leaf walls and colour choice.
The whole place was also great with covid regulations. Every member of staff was wearing masks, the tables had hand sanitiser on, and the shared areas (i.e. the bathroom) had lots of instructions on sanitation and covid safety.
I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who is going to Ambleside. 10/10 in every way!

Found this place by chance after many visits to Ambleside. Amazing staff, great coffee (flat whites top notch), food fantastic- had the waffle, bacon and maple breakfast with a flat white. Homemade cakes are the best. Only downside is they’re closed on Tuesday’s!

Copperpot is my favourite cafe in Cumbria...maybe the world? The staff are always amazing including the one with red/purple hair who is chatty and fun with customers even when rushed. The Copperpot crew do an amazing job serving beautifully presented and tasty food along with speedy, friendly service - well done to the whole team particularly post lockdown when it’s been so busy and a lot of new procedures to think about - Anna, Matt, Holly, David, Lisa and everyone keep doing what you are doing!

Came here with very short notice when the staff were absolutely rushed off their feet but they were still able to squeeze us in and I’m so glad that they did!
We had the best cooked breakfast ever, everything was so delicious and cooked to perfection. Once we were finished we were full up but tempted by the cakes so we decided to take a slice home, portion sizes were so generous! I had the Bailey’s and banana cake which was heavenly.
Thank you so much Copper Pot for your fabulous food and brilliant service 😊

What a lovely find. There was a queue for breakfast so I would recommend you get their early. Lovely friendly staff. The breakfast served was delicious you could tell quality produce is used. Only wished we had went sooner. Highly recommend a visit the menu looks great for breakfast and lunch also.

My husband and I had just arrived at Ambleside and needed somewhere to eat for lunch and came across this little gem. We had great service and got seats outside at the back which was so nice. We ordered the homemade fish finger butty which was exceptional in flavour and taste. We look forward to visiting again next time we are holidaying in Ambleside. Highly recommend.

Slightly disappointed by the cooked breakfast on offer. No sausages and only a sausage “patty” available. Also £3.50 for a small glass of orange juice seemed a bit pricey. The outside ambiance was very nice though and the service was good.

visited this cafe in february, there were 10 of us hoping to have some breakfast together so knew we could potentially be pushing our luck (we had tried to ring before hand however the phone line was down, not a problem on our end just wanted to ‘warn’ them). When we arrived there were 2 tables of 5 available and we were welcomed so warmly. Very busy cafe so we were very lucky that the 2 tables were available. Service, food, coffee & drinks all perfect! Really cannot fault the Cooper Pot! my boyfriend and i returned for lunch on our last day in the lakes and again all really wonderful. Will definitely be a new favourite for our annual trip. Thanks to all staff!

We arrived after reading recommendations online to find a queue before opening, so glad we decided to wait. From being welcomed at the door to the moment we left everything was perfect. The staff need to be praised for their friendliness and service. Our big breakfasts and waffles were served hot and were so tasty. There are a good selection of cakes that we saw on display so might return this week to sample those! An excellent find and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Fabulous breakfasts I had the large and my partner the vegetarian . The cafe was full when we arrived and we waited outside in the rain until a table was available . The staff were very attentive whilst we waited and also after we were seated.
I can honestly say, the food was worth the wait in the rain! We will be back again some day!
Small touches such as great customer service and presentation of the food made the whole experience one we will remember!

Went for Breakfast after looking at reviews on TA.
only word to describe the food 'yum!'
loving clean place.
very friendly staff
prices acceptable for where you are!
We had the Granola pot which was definitely the best granola i've had with thick greek yoghurt, nuts, berry compote and honey - lovely big serving .. oh! and fresh strawberry. was absolutely gorgeous - came in a lovely presentation pot.
partner had the ciabatta breakfast roll, bacon, sausage and Egg and he'd have eaten it all over again.
Great place. we managed to get a parking space just outside and because the service was quick our 1 hr time slot free of charge was perfect.
thanks to the Copper Pot Cafe for a beautiful breakfast :)
xx

Visited here whilst on a weeks holiday in the area.
Maybe due to the reviews I was expecting better things, but for me it was just okay.
Fairly small inside with spaced tables. We were told (by fairly unfriendly member of staff) we’d hv to wait outside for a table & probably 15min wait. Decided to walk around came back & a table available.
Breakfast ordered & bizarrely you pay your waiter/waitress before you receive your food (never been asked for payment at point of order in a waited cafe/restaurant-maybe this is the future)
Breakfast was okay, but wouldn’t rush back.

Great Café. We waited outside before they opened, there was already a queue of people so we knew it was going to be good and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely decor and friendly staff. We went with my little 6 month old son, they were very accommodating. Would highly recommend.
