We decided at the last minute to make a reservation for dinner here and we were so glad we did. All dishes were excellent. Lucky for me it was Thursday and therefore “Steak Night” and my rib eye steak with skinny fries and a salad was delicious and great value at just over £16. Service was also good and wines... More

Fantastic restaurant. Could not recommend highly enough. Always very busy so try and book ahead. Old style building with plenty of character, a real class place to eat in a nice area.

Visited yesterday for the first time and took advantage of the 'early bird' special enjoying two courses for £14.95. Staff really friendly and attentive and food absolutely lovely! Got a 10% iff voucher for our next visit too. Wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend!

This was the best lamb I have ever tasted! I've talked about this numerous times since. The staff were polite and sorted out a table for us at last minute as we hadn't booked. Lovely setting in a very old building with lots of character. My partner had the steak and enjoyed it. Would definitely eat here again. Highly recommended.... More

Food wasn't anything special. My wife had the chicken which she enjoyed. I had the lamb but it was fatty the waiter asked if everyone was ok with the food?, I said no the lamb was fatty to which he replied “Excellent”. Tried to get a Floater Coffee at the end of the night and that was a disaster. Bar... More

We booked to come on 'Steak Night'. Glad we did as the 'fully booked' sign was out when we arrived. The restaurant is in an old building, and sympathetically furnished. Service was good and friendly, food was very good and value for money

I had the duck with marinara sauce. When it came the potatoes and sauce were cold. I complained and the waitress quickly whisked my plate away she came back explaining that if she re heated the duck it would be tough and the chef had just checked the heat and it was within the safe temperatures so I decided to... My husband and I stopped for lunch here in August and what a huge disappointment it was. I actually felt angry and insulted after leaving here. I had the fish platter board which was disgusting. Horrible fishy shrimps in a metal cup smothered with sweet chilli sauce, awful stale gluten free bread, a tiny ramekin of tuna mayo and the... More

Had read some good reviews about this restaurant so was looking forward to our evening meal there. We all decided on the roast dinner, it being a Sunday and all. The meat was so tough I could have repaired my shoes with it. The rest of the meal was fine but we were charged for an extra roast dinner when... More
