Second visit. Fantastic as always. Warm welcome, and the tasting menu was amazing. Braised beef and venison were fantastic.

We had the most fabulous lunch here. We had the tasting menu which was perfectly balanced with great flavour in all the dishes. The wine package was good and reasonably priced. If you want a really good dining experience this is definitely the place to...More

We returned to the Old Stamp House on our visit to Ambleside this year and it never disappoints. The food is delicious, with appropriately sized portions and perfect wine pairings. We again chose the seven course tasting menu, and while it is not an inexpensive...More

This restaurant never ceases to surprise me! In the quiet period between New Year and January closure, you might expect standards to fall. Not here... absolutely stunning food which reminded me of why we keep returning to the Stamp House despite the range of excellent...More

This was our third time at The Stamp House and each time the standards have been high in food and hospitality. This is a dining experience where nothing is rushed and food, wine and ambience have been carefully and lovingly planned. We are often in...More

We had the 7 course taster menu. Overall, it was not fantastic but decent. Some of the dishes - such as the cauliflower curry soup and cod - were too salty. In fact, the cod was also slightly overcooked. The trout dish was fresh but...More

We didn't personally look for the vegetarian options but I'm quite sure they would make anything to accommodate any dietary requirement. You'll just need to ring and ask them. They're really nice and very helpful.

There’s currently a £65 or £50 tasting menu option. We went for the £65 last night and it’s amazing value for money! I’ve added a review just now and it has pictures of the menu and courses. Enjoy!
