My brother was visiting Lancashire after Christmas and we decided to go to the Lake District. The traffic had been heavy so we decided to stop and walk around the lakeside and we went into the local car park which has automatic number plate recognition, you get 15 minutes free and you can pay up to 24 hrs after you... This pub is in a beautiful location and with a lovely open fire. We ordered pate and when it arrived the bread had mould on it. I called the waitress over who seemed very shocked that it had mould on it and apologised and took it away. She brought us another back and knocked it off the bill but I... More

Cold January night. Roaring fire. Lake views. Big fat rib eye and loads of cask ale. Staff friendly and helpful. Always come here when I'm in the area.

Very pleasant pub, food was really good - I can recommend the fish pie - and friendly staff. In the Summer it's lovely to sit outside and watch the boats

As my Fiancé's father is a coeliac, we find it difficult sometimes to find a restaurant that accommodates his dietary needs but The wateredge was brilliant. The wateredge had tasty food, gorgeous views and friendly staff.

The title sums up our experience on Boxing day. It's a lovely place to visit and the staff are friendly and helpful. However we found the food to be medioca at best. The chilli beef sharing nachos were lacking spice and could have done with some salsa to lift the dish. We both had the Cumberland Sausage with creamy mashed... More

We went here on the off chance after looking for somewhere dog friendly, our usual place was disorganized chaos, but a blessing as we wouldn't of come to the Wateredge inn! The pub is massive with plenty of room and designated dog friendly areas. Staff were really pleasant, got the impression they couldn't do enough for you. The pub is... More

The position of this inn is spectacular. There is only a grassed area between the hotel and the lake. The car parks to the sides are spacious. Rooms are small but quirky. some with oak beams are in the old part of the inn. There is an modern annex where the rooms may be larger and have a balcony. The... More

It was a very cold weekend but this pub was very warm and welcoming. It was lovely sitting in the warm with a fabulous view of the lake. We didn't eat here but there were plenty of people did and the food being served looked very good.
