Friendly service and good choice at a reasonable price. We only stopped for a hot chocolate. I had a toasted teacake and my son had a huge slab of chocolate orange cake which he said was delicious. No complaints from us!

I ordered a seafood platter, with chips and salad. What arrived was not what I was expecting. It was a very cheap impression of scampi. I couldn't eat the fatty coating so took it off to eat the contents, which consisted of a prawn, an impression of a scallop, and some very nasty looking fish. I ate 2 chips and... More

Over priced and disappointing. Sandwiches containing pressed (plastic tasting) meat rather than carved meat was unimpressive. Not for us again. Sorry. Toilet facilities with "switch the light off" signs and no mirrors ... cold and basic and a dirty towel to dry hands on. Lessons to be learned here. 🙁

We've been returning to Cockermouth for breaks away for a few years now and it is places like this cafe that make us want to carry on visiting. Very friendly staff, lovely old fashioned charm with the china cups and teapots. The food is excellent and that is why it is so good; made to order everything very tasty. The... More

Tea comes in a china pot with bone china cups. Sandwiches, paninis and cakes were excellent value. Try the toasted plum loaf. We visited 4 times in 3 days.

Went to the tea shop for a light lunch. But they had an offer for pie chips and marrowfat peas. Followed by rhubarb crumble and custard washed down by a massive pot of tea. Perfect. Friend had soup sandwich and cake and was equally delighted. Well worth a visit

We was visiting for the morning so didn't know what to expect here but was really surprised to find a bustling little town. Great little shops & friendly people. By chance we found this lovely cafe hidden down an ally way. Sign posted on a billboard we wasn't disappointed. We sat in the sun outside & ordered tea for two,... More

We stumbled across Norham Coffee House as we walked down Main Street in Cockermouth and decided to "see what's down there"! Situated down a little alley behind Julies Sandwich shop it's quirky, friendly and the tea and cakes were delicious. Thank you David for your great service, we will be back for more!
