This place is very popular, especially during the Christmas Fair. We managed by sheer luck to get a table. The food was ordered and beers bought. Food was great. Homemade soup and delicious pizzas. Really friendly staff. Recommend this place to everyone.

Rated one of the best in Hawkshead and did not disappoint. Had the mussels and a burger, certainly not the cheapest but worth it. Only negative, toilets were clean but gents a seriously needs updating, bit “pub like”. Otherwise definitely worth a 5.

Although not a trendy pub (which suited us) it was great! The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was served promptly and it was hot. We had fish and chips and a chilli, the servings were very large and satisfying. The Guinness was poured...More

Visited whilst staying at lakes lodges in early October. We had the pizza and Prosecco deal which was well worth the money. Pizzas were homemade and very tasty. Bottle of Prosecco went down a treat too. Highly recommended. Will visit again when we return.

It would be advisable to book, we ending up eating on 2 occasion and were very lucky to get in, Fridays are particularly busy. We picked up take away pizza from the Queens on Friday last week and it was packed.
