Called in on chance with family (and dog) during a visit to Kendal and it was definitely a good call. Friendly staff, excellent coffee, good range of teas and enough cake choices to keep us happy. Dog was made equally welcome with lots of fuss,...biscuits and a water bowl, all offered without any need to ask. Thanks- will be back next time.More

Great cafe for breakfast and very welcoming to dogs. They have a whole box of treats right under the till and the staff were very keen to meet our dog.

Visited for lunch My wife ordered a panini with bacon etc. The panini was the smallest panini I have ever seen, approximately 4 inches (10cm) in length The bacon was predominantly fat!! At approximately £8.00, I don’t think this was value for money I ordered...the Cumberland sausage Benedict. On the menu it came with Black Pudding, I’m not a fan of Black Pudding, so I asked if I could change the Pudding for mushrooms, I was then charged for the mushrooms??? This was eventually refunded, but it seemed begrudgingly. Both dishes were very tasty, but the overall experience wasn’t pleasantMore

Lovely place, Open in early January when most others were shut, we were so glad as we had a good breakfast, one gluten free. The breakfasts may cost a little more but we noticed quality ingredients and was worth it. Nice to have a choice...of teas. Staff were friendlyMore

A friend of mine came to stay with me in Kendal for New Year. We were out in town and he asked where is the best coffee in town. I said everyone raves about Brew Brothers. Then they embarrassed me with some kid serving us...who actually had to ask another employee "what's a black coffee?" amongst half a dozen other questions which made us wonder how this lad had got through his life and indeed secured a job without knowing a single thing about coffee. Note to BB owners - 1. Don't leave your cafe in the hands of three teenagers, 2. ask a few basic coffee-related questions when you interview people, and 3. Provide training. Honestly, a teenager who knows nothing about coffee in a coffee shop is not a good look.More

Excellent all day breakfast, lots of choice for veggies/vegan and nice and cosy coffee shop style atmosphere. Also dog friendly, with treats and water on offer for them which is a nice added touch.
