We have been to this establishment a few times and always found them to have the best and BIGGEST scones in Keswick, a choice of 3 different scones, fruit, cherry or cheese. We had a scone each with jam & cream. Lovely !

I sat outside - crowded and with too many dogs for the small table space, and not comfortable in general. Soup was poor, coffee average. Not impressed

Stopped by after my husband had been up Helvellyn. Good tea, nice tuna sandwiches, good leek and potato soup, and blooming brilliant scones! Very nice people, very hard working. Nice to see locals calling in for cakes and pastries.

I have been to this cafe quite a few times over the years on our trips to Keswick. The food was and still is very good - the sausage rolls and scones are delicious. This visit was a little different. We called at 3.30 asking for soup and a sandwich both being on the quite extensive menu. We were told... More

Just passing and called in for Afternoon Tea with Scones, Jam and Clotted Cream. The sign says possible the biggest scones in the lakes and they weren't joking. Not only are the Scones enormous but they are deliciously fresh. Choice of Plain, Fruit, Cherry or Cheese Scones. Freshly ground coffee. Extremely friendly and helpful staff with a very homely feel.... More

A cherry (and I think almond) scone with butter, jam and cream is enough to keep a person going for a week!! The scones were huge and very tasty. The staff are friendly too. A lovely little place to eat!

Popped in for a chicken and bacon with homemade coleslaw white baguette, it was delicious. There were plenty of cakes to choose form and my hubby enjoyed a home made warm sausage roll, which he thoroughly enjoyed it. It would be great to stay in or eat outside next time, only small but seems to have everything you could want... More

Visited here today for lunch whilst in Keswick. Very friendly and attentive service. Both had soup and panini which was excellent at £5.75 each. The soup was a huge portion of homemade soup which tasted fantastic and filled you up even without the panini alongside. Will definitely visit again in the future. Many thanks Olivia and Steve

I am disabled and use a scooter and the owner of this tiny cafe very kindly helped me find somewhere to sit and somewhere to store my scooter while I ate. I had a latte and a beef lasagne with salad and garlic bread. The lasagne would rate as one of the best I have tasted! Excellent food and excellent... More
