Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had coffee and cake which came to just under £10, which I thought was expensive. The coffee was a weak which was disappointing despite having two shots. I would describe the staff as more businesslike than friendly. The place is nice but I probably...wouldn’t return because enjoy a proper coffee and friendly staff.More

This was an all around 5 star experience! Really quick and lovely service and all of the staff were friendly, polite and very hospitable. The food was absolutely delicious both times we have come and the coffees are top tier too! Couldn’t recommend more!

I “defected” here from another cafe in town which had, for me, lost its magic. This one more than made up for it. The service is consistently friendly and efficient. The coffee is excellent, and they always have the beans available for sale, with recent...roasting dates on the packets. This time, we went as a couple for lunch and the food was spot on. It was busy but one of the staff still took the time to find us a nice table to sit at. Definitely a place to keep going back to, and the art shop is fascinating too.More

Not sure if the cafe is new or we have managed to miss it each time we have visited - but this cafe is a hidden gem. Downstairs through a pleasant gallery or down the alley through the side door. Surroundings, food and service all...great. Will definitely be our go to when in KeswickMore

The open sandwich with "Roasted" Mediterranean vegetables and hummus is what we both chose. I expected great things considering the fine arts and craft wares the rest of the place was selling. What could go wrong with a simple open sandwich. Unfortunately, the food was...over promised, undersold. There was no hint of "Roasted" to be found anywhere. The vegetables were stone cold and may have been just boiled in oil! The hummus. Where was it? The thinnest of layers lurking in between the sodden sponge of bread it was wiped onto. Ibn Al-Adeem (Hummus God Father), would be turning in his grave. Tip to waiter - it's best to ask which of us was having the gluten free dish instead of just dumping both on the table without a word. Another tip: let people past instead of assuming you can barge past with your tray. Final tip: Clear communication with eye contact is required when someone politely asks if the table is free.More

Great visit with family, the coffee was lovely and great selection of teas. I tried the lemon meringue for dessert which was one of the best I've tasted! We stayed for hours (for an overdue family catch-up) and we didn't feel rushed by staff at...all. Will definitely be back!More

A delightful and friendly cafe with a great choice of meals at super prices. My vegetarian meal was a beautiful balance of taste and textures, the loose leaf tea was refreshing and the fruit cake moist and full of flavour. My favourite Keswick eatery from...today!More

We had a nice meal there. My partner had the cheese savoury tart which was really delicious and I had the sausage roll which was good but nothing special. It did come with an especially delicious apple sauce though. The drinks were nice there, I...had an decaf iced hazelnut latte which was creamy and refreshing. It was very busy and the atmosphere was nice. It was a little tough to catch a server’s attention but like I said it was very busy. The toilets were clean and the staff were polite, all in all a very nice visit.More

Just OK. Expensive for portion size. Nice food but have had bigger and better for same price elsewhere. Staff OK but no one went the extra mile. 3 out of 5.

Excellent service in this very popular cafe. Fortunately my wife and I have usually managed to find a seat but staff are certainly accommodating. We've been on holiday for a couple of weeks and been in a few times. Always great coffee, the best in...Keswick and fantastic cake. Would definitely recommend the lemon meringue pie. It does get busy but usually you don't have to wait too long.More
