My wife and I stumbled across this little gem when driving around the Lake District. We were greeted with a really warm welcome. My wife had the halloumi and roasted red pepper salad. I had the famous house burger. Both were absolutely delicious. Fab place...More

Visited on a horrible Lake District day and was rather cold inside - we kept our coats on. Ordered a New York deli sandwich, pancakes and chips which were all excellent however the hot chocolate drink is a rip off. Basic hot chocolate, £2.60 but...More

We went here for breakfast as an alternative to cooking ourselves. We had the small cooked breakfast and this was more than enough for us. Bacon, egg, mushroom, tomato, sausage and toast. All cooked perfectly. A perfect way to start the day.

Visiting The Filling Station is a must on our annual visit to the Lakes. Excellent coffee and breakfasts (and lemon drizzle cake!) in clean and comfortable surroundings. We love the witticisms on the walls, and there's parking too. All good. We will return.

Brilliant atmosphere and the lemon drizzle cake was nearly as good as my wife’s! Went there twice this weekend and had the New York Deli sandwich today. Fantastic! Great coffee and pancakes too 👌
