We called in for a drink early evening and really enjoyed it so we went back at 9:20 pm for another drink to be told they were no longer serving – when challenged we were politely but firmly told to leave

Food was ok, not anything special. Staff were a bit too much in your face trying to be polite ( my opinion). Probably because they are experiencing this weird COVID situation.

We came in here for some inpromptu mid afternoon drinks on our first full day in Keswick. This was our first drinks-only visit to a pub since they reopened in early July and the setup was well though through and a good range of drinks.

Visited today 18th October, very covid19 aware, tables spaced well apart, all waiters wore mask. Felt very safe and the food was out of this world! Best roast beef dinner i have had in a long time. We will definitely return

We always call into The Wainwright when in Keswick, as it’s our favourite bar, serving excellent ales. We weren’t sure whether we’d get in, as it’s first come, first in due to Covid. We were lucky and enjoyed a couple of drinks. Friendly staff and...More
