Hi
Thanks for getting in touch.
We’re in an old and awkward building, so only accessible for ambulant disabled folk, as we have 3 shallow front steps up from pavement level.
The toilets are on our ground floor, but the doors and space inside are not big enough for a wheelchair.
This means that if people are able to walk with a stick, or be helped to walk for short distances, then we can try to make them as comfortable as possible.
We’ve had lovely Deb from AccessTOG in - she’s in a wheelchair, but can be helped by her partner/friends up the steps and to the loo etc.
We also have welcomed people with walking aids.
Although people are generally very helpful, at busy times there’s no guarantee of seating either. So unfortunately, we’re not accessible for permanent wheelchair users.
You may want to consider any of the ground-level accessible hotels, pubs and restaurants in the town centre to be sure that all your party can have an enjoyable experience in Keswick.
With best wishes for a happy time
Kate
