Came in after driving around and reading the positive reviews off TripAdvisor... words don't lie! Portions are enormous and prices are low enough to keep you happy! Would definitely recommend and come back

Visited the village pub here whilst staying in Penrith having seen the reviews on trip advisor. We did book and pleased we did as not the largest of pubs and was very busy. Lovely food and very generous helpings. Great kids menu too. Only issue is we asked for a lasagne with chips rather than salad but were charged extra... More

A fine country pub. Great village location not far from M6. Warm welcome from smiley staff, a lovely real fire, friendly locals, good selection of beers, absolutely delicious food, dog friendly . Well worth a visit.

Went for a meal with friends and family and loved the steak pie. Friendly and efficient staff and huge portions. Pub grub but done well.

Attentive friendly staff, ale was good, the food looked excellent but didn't order but will definitely return and sample the food, and I'm confident that we won't be disappointed.

We went to this pub/restaurant as we had heard some good reviews on Trip Advisor. I have to say I was a little disappointed with the place, the staff were welcoming and they were taking lots of reservations for that evenings service but for us with our young family it wasn't our cup of tea, There was free Wi-Fi and... Stopped off here for a well-deserved pint after a day out walking. We got a lovely warm welcome and free wifi (which bought us a bit of peace from the children!).

Visited this pub on Monday evening and the place was very busy. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the chick pea and spinach curry. Both excellent. Service was good even though they were very busy! Would return if I was in the area again.

My partner and I visited here yesterday for lunch. We had ham egg and chips which was very nice. We sat in the beer garden in the back which as very spacious and had outdoor large garden games to entertain you (connect four and table tennis) Staff were friendly and polite and if we were staying longer we would definitely...
