However, on our most recent visit on a rainy day with two young children in tow, the same staff whom have always served us couldn't have been less welcoming if they tried! The male member of staff,... More

Went for lunch to this lovely cafe after seeing a sign which offered a good vegetarian selection on the menu. I was not disappointed. The menu was excellent offering a range of dishes. I had the veggie club which was delicious. The meat eaters in my party were equally happy. Would highly recommend.

was reluctant to visit this cafe due to the proximity to the local butchers -- find the smell of raw meat offensive. However once inside I was very pleased with the ambiance etc. There was a good choice of food for all diet choices and was varied. Even though they were busy and a staff member down the service was... More

If you want a value for money meal with a bit of bistro vibe, then this is the place to go. It's a little gem, unfortunately hidden in a small shopping arcade, so not readily happened upon, but worth seeking out. Friendly attentive staff offering prompt table service. The litmus test for me is toast for breakfast. If it comes... More

Each time we visit the lake district we try to go to Penrith and we always have lunch at the Lemon Tree. It is in a small precinct in the middle of town. They are so friendly and the food is always first class. Last time had Smoked Bacon and Chicken Chowder Soup which was superb. Lovely puddings and cakes.... More

A very nice lunch in quiet unassuming cafe. Good value and service was excellent. A good choice of specials too.
