So glad we weren't put off by some rather mixed reviews. Visited the tea room today and the meals we had were every bit as good as when we used to visit in its heyday. Hubby had freshly made red pepper and wensleydale cheese quiche,...More

Genuine home-made food with authentic well-researched recipes, significantly dearer than most but associated with an amazing-value guided tour of the old mill; thoroughly recommednded, especialy with children.

This is a must for those who like home baking. The mill provides the flour for a large range of home baking products. Friendly staff and good tea and coffee makes this an ideal place for morning or afternoon tea. Vegetarian.

I use tearooms a lot in Cumbria and Northumberland. The prices here are the most expensive I have come across and I have never paid same price for a scone with butter only(and not enough!)as it would be with cream and jam..Disappointing.......I would expect the...More
