Having spent a fair amount on takeaway meals we were looking forward to getting stuck into them. However have never seen curries like them. They looked and tasted disgusting. So much so that even the dog walked away from them. Expensive lesson learned.

We ordered 3 main, 3 rice, popadoms, mango chutney and Nan bread, which came to £40. Our take away was ready at the time given on the phone. You have to go up steps to get to the restaurant, they were the metal type which can be slippy so take care!! Inside there is a very small area waiting area... More

Highly recommend this restaurant having ate there whilst enjoying a break in the Lakes. Top quality service and excellent food at a very reasonable price.

My wife and I paid this place a visit on our first night in the lakes together. We were both expecting a treat based on the reviews this place received and to be fair there was some truth to them. The food was most definitely good but compared to other places we've visited it's average at best. A major reason... More

I've eaten at The Prince of India before and had much better food than my last experience. The lamb curry was watery and the naan soggy. The mushroom rice still good as well as the sambals and papadums. Service is always friendly

Nice interior to this place , ordered our food the samosas we're greasy, the currys arrived and they looked good the meat was well cooked but they lacked taste . I had the bunna and it had no taste at all . And the wine was a rip off £20 for a bottle of supermarket wine . Also of putting... More

Started off fine, busy with prompt service - then it went downhill from there. The starters were overcooked the pickle tray was watery and the mains left us with a rather bad feeling afterwards, on the upside the nan was nice.

Lovely food, very good service. Food was on point. tasted very fresh . This restaurant was on first floor so hard to spot on a one way street. Ambience and service was really good. Decor and table reminded me of the first Indian restaurant I went to 20 years a go . So if your looking for modern decor and... More

Good curry place in Windermere. It was very busy, but after a few minutes waiting we were placed at our table. The tables were really close to each other, but it created a nice vibe, although a bit chaotic. The food was good (but not exceptional.

Thank Robza
