Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped in on the way home from the Waterpark. Pub was spotless and Nicole behind the bar was lovely and friendly. Food came out quick, hot and tasty and the chef even walked passed our table and asked how the food was.

Once again visited this lovely friendly place for Lunch . From the starters to the desserts , we can’t find fault with this excellent place . Soup and chicken strips followed by delicious chicken-breast in a wonderful mushroom sauce and gammon and egg for my...husband . The apple pie and coconut sponge were truly delicious . All of that for £ 6.99 per person . The lovely Lynda couldn’t do enough for us and we would truly recommend this delightful pub . This was our third visit and we look forward to going again. Parking is also much better than nearer the centre and it is free . The drinks are also reasonably priced ❤️❤️ We love it !More

The Farmers Arms in my opinion is the jewel in the Crown of the Highfield Road area South Shore area shall we say. There are always friendly faces in there and everyone knows exactly what you drink....proper gents and ladies behind the bar. All smartly...presented....genuine local...no miscreants...all very nice human beings that drink in there, and the landlady is lovely..not to be missed.More

Just been in the Farmers with our puppy, one of the few places around which is dog friendly. Saturday afternoon and extremely busy, for a reason I would say as the place was very accommodating with great prices on food and drinks. There were plenty...of screens around showing the afternoons sport. We will definitely visit again if we are staying in the area.....More

The second visit in the last two weeks . Both times have been great . The first time with our grandchildren and the food was superb . Chicken ,burgers , pies , macaroni cheese and desserts were all lovely and the children and teenagers ate...every bit of it .Our daughter in law works for the NHS and we even got a discount for the food , Great soft drinks and beers too. Today we returned again . Just my husband and myself . As it was Sunday we both had the Roast Sunday Lunch and everything was wonderful and at £ 10.49 FOR BOTH it was incredible value too . Great Yorkshire puddings . The Apple pie and ice cream was yummy . The staff are fabulous and friendly . Would really recommend this pub its a real Gem .More

Called in on Monday 6th Nov 23 for some teatime food. Firstly, staff were extremely friendly and bar service was quick. We ordered food and were told how long the wait would be to get our meals which was really good so we weren't under...any illusions that it would take 2 minutes. The pub was extremely busy for a Monday afternoon and all the customers were chilled out and relaxed. After we had eaten our food, the chef come out to make sure we had enjoyed our meals, which you don't get very often. All in all, The Farmer's Arms is a traditional boozer with a busy vibe and we would certainly call in again either just for a drink or for food.More
